Option 1: Private tour to visit Chengdu panda base and Sanxingdui Museum. Visit Chengdu panda base in the morning and then visit Sanxingdui museum in the afternoon by private transfer
Option 2: 6 hours joined small group to visit Sanxingdui museum by public shuttle bus in the afternoon.
Option 3: Private tour for the people who desirably want to know more abt Sanxingdui. Visit Sanxingdui museum in the morning and then Sichuan museum in the afternoon by private transfer.
Option 4 and 5: Private transfer by Chinese speaking driver only. Driver will show you the entrance when you reach the attraction and wait for you in the parking lot.

What To Expect
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
For option 1 and option 4 Pick up at Chengdu hotels and drive 40 minutes to Chengdu Panda Base. In the morning, when the weather is cooler, the pandas are more active. We will see them having breakfast and exercising. You may also have the chance to see a red panda walking around.
Sichuan Museum
Only available for option 3 and 5 You can see some of the richest collections of Sichuan’s history, art, and ethnic culture at Sichuan Museum — including ancient Shu bronzes, Han‑dynasty pottery, and rotating special exhibitions.

5.00Victor was an outstanding guide to both the Chengdu panda base and the Sanxingdui museum. We learned so much about the giant and red pandas, a greater appreciation for China’s conservation efforts and collaboration with zoologists and zoos around the world to preserve these magnificent creatures. And Victor’s passion for explaining the context of the artifacts found in the Sichuan province and greater Chinese history and culture was moving and educational. Thanks for a great day long trip!

5.00We chose this tour because we wanted to visit the Sanxingdui Museum, as it was suggested by a personal friend of mine from Chengdu, and we thought that going with a guide would make the experience more informative. We also saw that it could be combined with the Panda Reserve visit in Chengdu, so it seemed like a great opportunity to learn more about these lovely and cute animals. Without even realising, we booked another tour for the following day with the same agency, which turned out to be the best decision. Because of an event happening near the museum, doing the original tour on the first day would have been very difficult, therefore the agency suggested swapping the two tours, which worked perfectly. For this tour, we met Victor on the second day. He was once again our driver and guide, and he arrived right on time at our hotel. He was, as on the first day, very professional and very informative, both at the reserve and at the museum. We stopped for lunch at a local noodle place, since we did not feel like having a big meal, and it was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend this tour, and especially Victor, thanks to his excellent English level and his knowledge. It is a great option for anyone who wants to learn more about Sichuan, Chengdu, pandas, and the ancient civilisation of Sanxingdui.

5.00Great Tour! Wing was a really knowledgeable guide. Because of his experience, we were able to see the pandas even though the panda base was crowded. He was also our guide at the museum and gave us thorough and interesting explanation of the history surrounding the site and pointing out the significant and 'must-view' artifacts. We would highly recommend this tour, from the transport, the guide, his recommendations and assistance in getting admission tickets.

5.00This is one of the most incredible museums I've ever been to and Victor was an amazing guide. He gave a thorough explanation of everything from the history of the discovery of the site to what archaeologists have learned about the objects. He brought me to all the most significant objects and helped me understand why they were significant. I think this is a must do if you're visiting Chengdu.

5.00Victor was our guide for 3 days and he was great. He shared alot of knowledge about the history and culture of China that's related to the places of interest that we visited. He also shared alot about the china today. By sharing the above, as visitors to China we did not just visit the place but we felt like we had a better understanding of the country and its people too, which is the most rewarding part of traveling. He was also detailed enough to get a birthday cake for my birthday without mention. He would also go the extra mile to drive the car over so we walked less. He was also always punctual. The Company made recommendation for our itenary based on what we wanted and our interests, which is great. Victor is also an experienced guide for the places we visited, knowing the best angles for pictures, knowing when's a good time to see more panda action etc. Highly recommended if going to that region in China!

5.00Audrey was an amazing tour guide! She knew exactly where to go and see Pandas, saving a lot of time. Enjoyed her home town (where Sanxingdui museum is located) very much and special restaurant she selected for our lunch. Her knowledge at the museum was incredible. She explained each artifact and the history in English and answered any questions. She is a wealth of knowledge, very friendly and we even shared some laughs. Was a wonderful day and experience, the professional driver was great too! Highly recommend this company! Ask for Audrey especially if visiting the museums.

5.00We had the panda base and Sanxingdui Museum tour with Victor on Sept. 18, 2023. We highly recommend this tour. The tour is well planned, and Victor is the best tour guide a tourist can expect. He is very knowledgeable about Chengdu and surrounding areas, he is passionate about the places we visited. We visited panda base in the morning, when the lovely panda are very active, then he took us to Guanghan city for lunch to enjoy very tasty local food, we spent the whole afternoon in Sanxingdui museum, which is the highlight of the tour. The museum is fabulous, and Victor make it even more interesting with his knowledge and experience. Overall, this tour is one of the best tour I had through TripAdvisor.

5.00We utilized Victor (one of the heads for the group) for transportation, touring and experiencing the Panda holding at Dujiangyan Panda Base. Victor is incredibly knowledgeable and with his connections is a godsend when things could have fallen through. I highly recommend him, especially if you don't know much about the Chengdu area as you'll need transportation and insider information.
