5.00We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and took a day trip to Nordeste and surrounding areas with Felipe. He is an excellent, very knowledgeable guide that makes you feel at ease and can answer all your questions and provide valuable tips and insights. While exploring the beautiful spots we discussed history, culture, geology, flora, fauna, cultural and culinary aspects of Azores and many other things. There was no question that Felipe could not answer. Would not hesitate to recommend Felipe and tour with him again.

5.00We took a day trip with Felipe out to the eastern half of San Miguel Island, and it was wonderful. We explored the caldera, the coast, a couple of towns, lots of waterfalls, and a remote logging road! He was very adaptable given the weather, and we enjoyed the whole day. Would tour with him again, and highly recommend the experience.

5.00The most memorable part of Sao Miguel experience is breathtaking natural encounters, twin lakes of Sete Cidades, Furnas Hot Springs & Geothermal cooking, Tea plantations at Gorreana. The most memorable part of our 2days guide tour was our guide, Filipe Cordeiro. The deep knowlege of Sao Miguel’s history,culture, and natural wonders was matchen only by his warmth and enthusiasm. What truly stood out was the personal touch. Highly recommend Azores by Local to anyone visiting Sao Miguel.

5.00Filipe met us at the pier as planned. Had a great time seeing the top of the volcano and the beautiful scenery around it. Got into some smaller villages with a short stop for lunch. Filipe told us lots about the area and is very knowledgeable and proud of his home and country. Highly recommend his services. Thank you from Canada.

And he took us to the places we couldn't reach with our rented car. I totally recommend him as a guide (great knowledge on the island and history, great conversation, great driving skills).
