While You are able to enjoy scenery we will start our presentation with detailed stories, carefully selected so You are able to understand a complex matter of "The Fall of Yugoslavia" which is crucial for Your understanding of Srebrenica genocide. Our first stop is in front of battery factory, used by UN forces during the war in Bosnia. In previous headquarters of the Dutch battalion is now located one of the most modern museums in Bosnia and Herzegovina, “Museum of Srebrenica Genocide”. There we will be meeting the curator and experience first-hand story about the survival in Srebrenica enclave. Museum is equipped with multimedia facilities with selection of movies, that will help You understand events that led to the worst atrocity in Europe since World War II. From Museum of Srebrenica Genocide, we continue to Memorial room, where You will be able to hear the stories of the victims which were made by a local journalist. Part of the Memorial room is also dedicated to the people responsible for the massacre. Victims that were found and identified are resting at Memorial cemetery. This is such an important tour to take. I recommend it to everyone. Our tour guid Adis picked us up at the agreed location and drove us to Srebrenica. On the way he told us stories about the history of Bosnia, Yugoslavia and told his personal stories during the war and stories of his relative during the genocide in Srebrenica. He was very friendly and is full of knowledge. It’s a person we could listen to for days. During the drive he would point out locations where horrible things happened. At the museum another guide was waiting for us to tell us about the genocide. After that Adis took us to Srebrenica to tell us more about the town and we visited the cemetery. Endless graves, endless names. Very emotional, heartbreaking but as I said very important tour to take. As our Tourguide Adis told us at the end ‘it’s the least that we can do for the victims. I also want to point out that he is a great driver, drove very safe. Thank you for this experience Adis.

During the winter off-season, I was the only person booked for the Srebrenica tour. But they didn't cancel—they gave me a full private tour instead. Our guide was a war veteran who lived through the events, and hearing real stories from someone who was actually there made the history incredibly personal and real. He explained everything with such detail and honesty—things you simply can't learn from books or documentaries. Walking through the memorial and hearing firsthand accounts brought a deep understanding of what happened there. Dream Balkan Travel handled this sensitive tour with the utmost respect and professionalism. If you're visiting Bosnia, this is an essential experience. It's heavy, it's emotional, but it's something everyone should witness. Thank you very much, Dream Balkan Travel! 🇧🇦

The trip from Sarayevo takes about 3 hours but it is worth if you are interested in the recent war of ex Jugoslavia. The hangar where the UN forces were located is now a museum with lots of pictures, objects that witness what happened at that time and you feel the sense of failure that humanity lived here. The cemetery is big as I remember I saw on tv at that time, but being there, in that landscape makes you feel astonished for the large number of dead people. Senat was a very good guide, he replied to all our questions and provided us with a lot of details, he who lived the war personally. Not to be missed!

An absolute memorable trip, and as you would expect utterly humbling. The communication with the operator was great, but the overall best part of the tour was Adis. His experience, and willingness to share his personal stories really had a lasting impact on me, and provided immense additional context to the genocide and war.

Our group could not have had a better tour guide than Adnan a former soldier in the Bosnian Army turned peace activist and peace mediator immediately after the war and now also a tour guide. His knowledge and experience made it even more impressive because of his neutrality when addressing this sensitive topic also looking at it through the eyes of the enemy always exploring ways to bring permanent peace and reconciliation. A truly remarkable man bringing light to a full day tour that hold so much pain and suffering. The long journey was in a comfortable and clean vehicle with a delicious roll prepared for us and a complimentary bottle of water giving the tour a special touch.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Srebrenica tour was deeply moving and incredibly well organized. Our guide Adis was exceptional — respectful, knowledgeable, and very empathetic. He explained the historical background with great clarity and sensitivity, giving us a real understanding of what happened there. It was an emotional experience, but one that everyone should have to truly grasp the impact of the war. I highly recommend this tour — it’s unforgettable and handled with the utmost respect.

Adis met our group of three, as soon as was humanly possible, on the morning of October 6, 2025. (Dream Balkans representatives met each of us at the appointed time and explained that a traffic tie-up was keeping Adis a bit longer.) We missed nothing. On the way to Srebrenica, he fully covered the background of the conflict and the events that led up to July, 1995's horrific genocide. Once at the Memorial Museum in Potcari, a museum staff member gave us a full explanation of the events of July 11, 1995, as well as showing an introductory video of the events. Several rooms, in two large buildings, provided displays of the events tat played out between 1991 and 1996. Videos and a full range of preserved items added to the written testimonials of survivors and family members. Of particular note were the wall that showed the photographs of men and boys killed on July 11, 1995. There were tables of shoes that were left behind by the victims, similar to the shoe piles in Auschwitz. Adis took us to Srebrenica town and to the Memorial Cemetery, giving us details on both places. He went the extra mile and deserves a lot of credit for keeping a sense of objectivity, despite being a veteran who served in the Bosnian Regular Army/

Even though it is a mentally hard study trip, you return in the evening with a better understanding of the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our guide, Adis, told us a lot of background information while we drove through the beautiful mountainous terrain to Srebrenica. I cannot recommend this trip enough. It works for solo travelers as well because you travel in a small group of maximum 7 persons.

The visit was very rewarding. The title of the visit Study Day on Genocide does not make what awaits us well at the Memorial in Sbrebernica because it is much more than that. We could speak of an intrusion into the heart of the genocide because the visual medium makes us live the events that occurred there. Our guide is a survivor and he accompanies us admirably in this knowledge of history. Finally, the transport is highly comfortable.
