This amazing tour takes you to the inlands of Crete. After visiting a olive factory with tasting of the different qualities of oil we are heading direction the mountain village of Kritza. Along the old Minoan paths and civilizations to the unknown Crete. Pure Nature, wild landscapes and breathtaking views. One highlight on your tour is the protected mountain forest of Kroustas. than we heading over the mountains south where we will serve your lunch in a very nice taverna with mountain spring water, far away from civilization you will be able to meet our local host and feel what Cretan hospitality really means.
Next stop will be the amazing Gorge of Sarakina, where you can hike depending your skills and fitness.
A visit in Myrtos at the beach of the Lybian sea (with possibility to swim) ends this amazing day.

A Perfect Day Exploring Crete: Olive Oil, Mountains, Amazing Food & the Libyan Sea

5.00This was one of the best excursions of our trip and offered a perfect mix of culture, scenery, food, and adventure. Our day began with a visit to a local olive oil factory, where we learned how traditional olive oil is produced and enjoyed a tasting of several varieties. The explanations were informative and engaging, and there was plenty of opportunity afterward to purchase any products that caught your interest. From there, we traveled into the mountain region, where we explored the island's diverse landscapes and learned about the different flora and fauna found at various elevations. We made several scenic stops along the way, giving us plenty of opportunities to take photos of the breathtaking views. Lunch was a true highlight. We visited a locally owned and operated restaurant nestled in a beautiful garden, shaded by an incredible 500-year-old tree. The setting alone was unforgettable. The meal was absolutely delicious—tender oven-roasted potatoes, succulent chicken, and lamb so perfectly cooked it practically melted in your mouth. It was accompanied by local wine, a fresh green salad, and what may very well be the best homemade tzatziki sauce on the island. A special mention goes to our driver, George, who expertly navigated narrow, rocky mountain roads while sharing fascinating stories and history about the island. His knowledge, skill, and sense of humor made the journey even more enjoyable. The adventure continued with a stop at a gorge where we climbed among massive boulders and captured some incredible photos of the stunning natural scenery. To finish the day, we headed to the beach, where we had the chance to cool off with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear Libyan Sea. This excursion truly had something for everyone—history, local culture, spectacular scenery, outstanding food, and a bit of adventure. Highly recommended!

We were informed in advance that no German guide would be available to us as drivers, but there is a German guide in a second vehicle who communicates with us via radio. That worked out great; our English guide also told us a lot and was very friendly and funny. The tour itself was a fantastic experience and definitely worth the money.

5.00Just perfect!!! Kosta has been a friendly and sympathetic guide. He answered all our questions. He steered the Jeep confidently through the mountains. The weather didn't play along as we would have liked, but we made the most of it. I booked a tour with you for the second time and I would do it again at any time. See you next time.

5.00A nice and very interesting excursion. Our tour guide was absolutely great, told us a lot about the areas, history and people. The tour could be flexibly adapted to the interests of the participants. The way through the gorge was more challenging than everyone expected, but it was fun and brought our small group closer together. This excursion can be recommended in good conscience.

5.00This was our second time in Crete and our second tour with the same company Adventure Crete. We even requested the best tour guide George! It was one of the most active tour we have ever been. George is an excellent driver and very knowledgeable person. Our first stop was at olive oil factory Physis of Crete for olive tasting and SHOPPING 😊If you are looking for a Face Care products-you will definitely find something for yourself. I am mad about their products . Driving through the mountain you can enjoy spectacular views. We had the best Cretan lunch in one of the taverna😋Absolutely love it! Myrtos was great for swimming and shopping. We can highly recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00We was collected outside our apartments on time by George. After three people didn’t show at the next hotel it was just my wife and I and our soon to be Turkish friend and George our guide. We set of to the olive factory which we enjoyed, especially the tasting, The next stop was the village which was quite quant, this was a about an half hour stop and we saw a church and had a wander. Following this we went to the pine forest and zig zagged over the mountain stopping off at various times to see views etc. Then came a superb lunch in a beautiful setting. Loads of food all hand cooked along with wine and raki 👌. Off we then went to the gorge. This was really stunning and whilst its a free thing you can do I would not want to attempt it without our guide. I recommend you wear trainers on this trip as there are some tricky climbs over massive boulders, and through a hole and along sides of slopes. It’s made easier as ropes and foot holds have been formed and fitted. Take your time and listen to your guide and all is doable. We loved it. After this we went to coast and you can swim,, or wander around but the four of us decided to have a beer and a chat. We all got on brilliantly, our new Turkish friend (the excellent climber) and George our guide was who excellent and a gentleman. He made the day fun, interesting, Thank you very much 👍
