The fare for the ferry was an excellent value, offering a wonderful opportunity to journey from the vibrant streets of San Francisco to the charming shores of Sausalito. The breathtaking views from the ferry were nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the stunning skyline of the city against the backdrop of the shimmering bay. I’m already counting the days until my next visit to San Francisco, and the ferry ride will undoubtedly be one of the highlights I look forward to experiencing again.

Rude staff guy shouting at bike passengers lining up "You are doing it all wrong" etc even though likely 99% had never taken the ferry before and had no idea vague lines in the pavement meant to create lines. Also "what is so hard" when people didnt squeeze together fast enough for his taste. Not respectful behavior at all.

We took the ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco, and the fog made it interesting. We were able to watch it rolling in, and though it was a little bit creepy, it was we never see at home, and therefore, an adventure.

Staff very aggressive, garish and who speak with disdain, as if they were equipped with a divine mission. The best way to damage bikes, the boat is not really made for. The bikes are piled up and we get shouted at for throwing at each other as quickly as possible. Also better way to get nicked because attached to nothing and how to recognize his when most come from the same rental companies. I put two stars, one for principle and the other for sight. Frankly I would have preferred to cycle back to San Francisco while passing by the bridge as well as on the way.

I took the ferry to Sausalito from Fishernan’s Wharf and then back later that evening. The ferries were both on-time, clean, and had friendly & helpful employees. I will definitely do this trip again.

I have never written a poor review but how me, my teenagers and young children have been spoken to by extremely aggressive staff os absolutely disgusting. We have travelled from Ireland and have had a lovely morning cycling across the bridge. Upon boarding the family in front of us got separated due to instructions from staff. They were humiliated by another staff member who announced to the rest of the queue that we were being held up due to a family having "separation anxiety". Upon boarding our instructions were extremely poor, with my young child (11) being made to wait apart from us and shouted at. Having travelled all around the world with young children, I have never been spoken to in this way. A high need for staff training.

We did the Big Bus tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito and opted to get the ferry back to SF. I pre-booked tickets online before our trip for just under $15 each and had the tickets on my phone. The ferry schedule is on their website but we checked the timings on the board in Sausalito just to check they hadn't changed before we wandered off to see the town. The ferry took about 30 minutes and we got excellent views of Sausalito from the water, as well as the Golden gate bridge and Alcatraz, on the way across. We saw many birds, sea lions and even some whales popping up out of the sea! It was a much more fun and pretty way to get back to the city than the bus and it gave us more time to see lovely Sausalito.

Great and on time ferry service. I bought the tickets directly at their office at Pier 39 in San Francisco and the lady working there was very friendly. It was not high season despite being a weekend and we had plenty room in the ferry. The disembark in San Francisco was very well organized by the staff because it has mostly people with bikes and they have to wait first all the others to get off from the ferry.
