What To Expect
Embark on a thrilling adventure through the pristine waters of Costa Rica's cleanest river, navigating through Experience III rapids that promise a blend of serene paddling and exhilarating white-water excitement. The journey begins with an 90-minute scenic drive to the rafting launch site, where you'll experience breathtaking views of the rainforest, quaint villages, meandering streams in this rural space of San Gerardo de Dota. After receiving safety briefings and some practice time, you'll hop aboard 6-passenger or 2-passenger rafts, guided by an experienced instructor. For added security, a kayaker will accompany the group closely throughout the expedition. The Savegre River boasts a mix of II and III class rapids, offering twists and turns that guarantee an adrenaline-pumping experience. Amidst the excitement, you'll also have the chance to marvel at the abundant flora and fauna along the riverbanks, with opportunities to take refreshing swims in calmer waters or even disembark momentarily from your raft. Upon returning to base camp after a shorter 30-minute ride, you'll have the chance to dry off, change into fresh attire, and indulge in a delicious meal.

5.00We had such a fantastic experience with our tour guide, Andres! From start to finish, he kept us laughing and made the whole day so enjoyable. His knowledge about his country was truly impressive, and we learned so much along the way. To top it all off, the meal was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Andres — you won’t be disappointed!

5.00My wife and I booked our trip thru Los Suenos Adventure Park. We had an incredible day with Andres & Manuel on 3/25/26. They were very engaging during the van rides and rafting experience. The rafting itself was a fun challenge and both Andres & Manuel were patient teachers. The lunch at the half-way point of the rafting experience as well as the stop at the waterfall were particularly nice touches. I highly recommend this experience for those who love nature and are up for a new challenge under watchful eyes while creating lifelong memories. -Ian & Jill Singer from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

5.00We had an amazing time on the rafting tour! The experience was the perfect mix of adventure and fun. The river had just the right level of excitement, with enough rapids to keep things thrilling but still safe and enjoyable. The guides were excellent — very professional, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable from the start. They explained everything clearly and kept the energy high throughout the tour. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush rainforest and wildlife. It really added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a fun and well-organized adventure in Costa Rica. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00So much fun!! We went as a family with our teenager. There are a lot of rafting groups to choose from. Some will get you down the river, offer you some fruit and then drop you back at your car. But this one gives you a full experience. They'll pick you up and transport you to the rafting location (expect 1.5-2hr drive to river) and back. They provide breakfast, coffee and snacks during transport and provide lunch at a resting area during the activity. We stopped off at a waterfall during our tour. You can walk right up under it! Guides speak English and Spanish. This is a full day activity but well worth your time. Guides are well trained and keep you safe, even when the unexpected happens. A boat in our group flipped over in the rapids and one of the passengers was hit in the face. Pretty awful cut but the guides took great care of her injuries. We raft often all over the world and would recommend this group.
