What To Expect

Brilliant opportunity to master the art of driving a snowmobile and marvel the beautiful northern scenery. After driving instructions, we will head into the snowy nature and drive over the hills and fells of Saariselkä area. In the middle we stop for a break to enjoy hot drinks and the silent nature surrounding us. Which is also a great opportunity to rest and get some photos.

We booked our first ever snowmobile ride with Safartica as a private 2-hour option (two of us) and it was FANTASTIC. From the time we entered the office to get suited-up to the time we departed, the staff was very friendly, helpful, patient and full of information. They provided new, high quality, comfortable outerwear to supplement what we were already wearing. The snowmobiles were in great condition and a very thorough instructional and safety briefing was provided before we commenced. Our friendly and experienced guide, Marianne, was top-notch. She led us on a wonderful, fun and exciting journey through town, and up/through/over several fells providing excellent vantage points of the surrounding region and in the direction of Norway and Russia. We stopped briefly for some hot cider and cookies, where Marianne provided a very interesting description of life in Lapland. Later, we stopped briefly one more time to take some selfies and photos of the desolate, yet beautiful surroundings. We are so happy that Marianne was our guide - she is a great asset to Safartica.

Great experience, loved driving through the forest. They do go a bit quicker once you get the hang of it but would have loved to try going a bit off-road.
Absolutely recommended for customers aged 0-88 years!

Amazing experience with our tour guide. We had a small group yesterday - just 5 of us which was great. She is very friendly, attentive and very professional. If I remember it correctly, her name is Maristela. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Mathilde was a fantastic guide! We had such a great time and I would highly recommend this for couples and small groups. She took us on a great track, had cookies and hot juice before driving back! Fantastic day!

Fantastic experience. The tour was wonderful as well as lasting (well 3 hours ). The instructor takes you to the snowmobiles, explains how they work, and off we go. A 10/10 to instructor David.
