This entry-level snowshoeing tour includes a PyhäExpress chair lift ticket to the top of Pyhä Fell (weather permitting) for the best possible views across the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and beyond! Our guide will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of the Arctic nature, the surrounding landmarks, and the old Lappish beliefs. Pyhä Fell offers many opportunities for photographing the changing landscape and the surrounding nature. The frosty snow starts to cover the trees up in the fell right when the first sub-zero temperatures arrive and the warm and moist air starts to rise from the valley to the top of the fell. Photographers are especially mesmerized by these fairytale-like snow monsters and the different shapes and sizes the snow creates around the trees. Depending on the time of year, you may also capture the polar night sunrise and sunset colors or halos around the sun on a frosty winter day. A camera is a must-have accessory for the scenic snowshoeing tour! The tour can and will be tailored based on the clients’ requests. Also suitable for a family (snowshoes for kids are also available).

We had a great and unique week in Finnish Lapland! We have put together the trip ourselves, flight and apartment and we have booked all excursions with Bliss Adventure. Some excursions are outsourced to companies with whom they work closely such as skiing, the reindeer and husky safari and the trip by snowmobile but the transport was all arranged by Bliss and the other excursions; a hike with snowshoes on the top of the Pyhätunturi and ice climbing we did with the people of Bliss. Everyone is very nice and helpful, the atmosphere is very good. It was all well arranged and well explained, safety first, and all the activities were both fun, magical, sometimes cold, adventurous and without a doubt a great memory! On the last day we made another stop for a visit to Santas House, nice experience for the kids and nice Finnish food in the Elves hotel. Thanks Bliss Adventure! The driver Tiina, the guides Joonatan, Jeppa, Kai from the snowshoe walktour, Susanna and Essi and last but not least Mikael with whom I booked all the excursions in advance, it all went perfectly and I will definitely recommend you!!

Has a fantastic afternoon with our lovely guide Laura snow shoeing down the Pyhä Fell. We did this with our 9 year old son and it was a fabulous experience.

Great hike with Suzanna. The view was beautiful and the circuit was accessible to everyone! The walk lasted between 2 and 3 hours, no difficulty.

We had a really great adventure from start to end! It was tiring but lots of fun and the views from the top of the fell were amazing. Our guides, Inessa and Lyo, were exceptionally patient and helpful in teaching us amateurs how to navigate the snow using the snow shoes. They constantly looked out for us as well, giving us tips and ensuring we kept warm in the cold. We also had the pleasure of hearing many interesting stories from the both of them that helped us understand the Laplands and the culture here much better and that definitely enhanced our experience. Definitely recommend!

This tour was amazing. Beautiful. Interesting. Informative. It was truly a highlight of the trip. The tour guide (Leo) was excellent. He also gave us the greatest lunch recommendation after the tour ended.

Amazing walk and scenery, we learned so many new arctic skills, and also a lot about trees, which made us very happy. Super recommended.

Unfortunately we had a snowstorm on the mountain. After a short trip on the Pyhä, we went down into the forest. It was still an experience

Tina was an amazing guide who led us (first time snowshoers) across the Pyha Fell. It was easy to learn and such a fun way to navigate the fresh powder snow, see panoramic views, and learn about Lapland’s weather and wildlife. The top of the hill was very windy and cold but we were dressed appropriately thanks to Bliss Adventure gear! Tina even customized our trail to spend more time in the less windy spots.
