The promoted dives here are from shore and include an experienced PADI Professional who is guiding you whilst diving in a small group of max. 5 divers per guide.
Playa Chica is one of our main dive locations, depending on the experience level, offering up to 10 different dives just by entering from shore.
A shallow plateau leads into various underwater mountains, slopes, reefs, caverns, and volcanic rock formations with a depth from 1-40m. The marine life in Playa Chica is stunning and varies from schools of small fish to big groupers, barracudas, tunas, seahorses, rays, angle sharks, cuttlefish, octopus, sponges, flounders, crabs etc. There is lots of exciting life to see, whilst the visibility varies from 15-40m.
The exact choice of dive sites depends on the daily water &weather conditions as well as the experience level of the group.

This excursion is only for certified divers with recent dive experience within the last 12 months. If you are not holding a certification yet, please look at our Discover Scuba Diving Package where no experience is needed.
Minimum age is 10 years.
Minimum certification level is Junior Scuba Diver (or similar).
Divers must present their certification card (digital or printed).
Diving requires certain weather conditions. In the unlikely event the activity should be cancelled due to poor weather conditions, you will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
No flying within 18 hours after two consecutive dives. Your departure flight should be not earlier than 6am the following day.
You have to be medically fit for diving. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions might prevent you from diving (no asthma, heart problems or other serious conditions). Please consult your doctor.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
- Meet your Instructor in Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen - Try and organize equipment and complete paperwork - Instructor briefing about dive site and planning, information on marine life, gearing up - Two dives at different spots in Playa Chica, which offers more than 10 different dive sites from shore with a depth ranging from 5-40m - Choice of dive site depends on weather conditions, experience level - Easy access walking thorough the beach or entering through stairs by the peer - Beautiful reefs & volcanic landscape, overhangs, caverns and a an incredible underwater scenery with huge amounts of marine life from small to big :) - Dive Excursion for certified divers has a duration of approx. 45min per dive, depending on air consumption and conditions. - Surface interval of 45-60min with refreshments/cookies between dives Have fun and enjoy the plunge. But watch out, you might fall in love with the underwater world of Lanzarote, as we did!

5.00We had an incredible experience with Scuba Legends. Booking was a breeze; we were able to coordinate directly with the manager via WhatsApp to arrange a 4-day, 8-dive package. This included the stunning underwater museum in Playa Blanca, as well as several boat and shore dives around Playa Chica. The owner, Chantel, was brilliant and highly responsive. Our dive guides were equally fantastic—patient, helpful, and focused on our comfort throughout every dive, and keeping the groups small and personal. They had a real knack for spotting marine life, including Angel sharks, octopuses, eels, pipefish, and even a pregnant seahorse. Most importantly, they practiced respectful diving, ensuring we never disturbed or crowded the animals. Since we brought our own gear, the team went above and beyond by offering to wash and store it at the shop each night. Having it delivered back dry the next day was a huge help, especially since we had limited space on our hotel balcony. I can’t recommend Scuba Legends enough and will definitely be back! FYI water temperature is around 18°C most of the year so if bringing own kit I would recommend a 7mm full wetsuit or even a drysuit if you feel the cold and are going beyond 20m.

5.00An amazing scuba diving experience! Very professional personnel! Also the shores where we were diving was quite interesting to me: we saw lots of different species, in addition small flounders (I'm not sure exactly what they are called). We had two dives in about 10 to 20 meters. I can warmly recommend!

5.00We researched, and contacted, multiple dive companies in Lanzarote before choosing Scuba Legends. We chose them because of the good reviews, they had availability on the day we wanted to dive, and they offered the dive locations we were interested in. Their communication was good from the time I first contacted them. They provided all of the information we needed, including equipment, times and meeting location. On the day of the dive, they were easy to find and the staff was well prepared. Our guide, Igor, was friendly and went over everything we needed to know for the day. We did two dives, both were a short boat ride from the marina. I would recommend Scuba Legends to anyone looking to dive in Lanzarote.

5.00I completed my AOWD course with Scuba Legends in Lanzarote, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. My instructor Igor was absolutely outstanding: extremely knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He explained everything clearly and made me feel safe and confident throughout all the exercises. The course was very well structured, hands-on, and truly helped me improve my diving skills. I especially appreciated how individually Igor worked with me and how much importance he placed on safety and thorough briefings. After the course, I did two additional fun dives, and both were fantastic. Great organization, beautiful dive sites, and a relaxed yet highly professional atmosphere. You can feel the team’s true passion for diving in every moment. Bottom line: Highly recommended! I will definitely come back and am already looking forward to my next dives with this amazing team.

5.00I spent several days diving with Scuba Legends and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the team made me feel welcome, supported, and inspired. A special thanks to Igor and Raúl, who were not only fantastic instructors but also incredibly patient, encouraging, and passionate about what they do. During my time with them, I completed my Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications, exploring a great mix of dive sites around Lanzarote — each offering something new and beautiful. The group sizes were small and manageable, which allowed for a truly personal and relaxed experience underwater. What stood out most was how much this team genuinely cares — about safety, learning, and making you feel part of their diving family. 5.00Wonderful experience from the hand of the two instructors, one each day, the 2 very qualified and professional, have made me a quiet dive and with a lot of marine life (giant stingray blankets, seahorses , groupers, barracudas.....) and even wrecks, incredible visibility .The equipment is the best I have seen in a diving school in my 30 years of diving Thank you very much to Raul and the boss.

5.00I highly recommend Scuba Legends for your diving activities in Lanzarote. After my previous experience with them in 2022 I had no doubt in booking my dives again with Scuba Legends. They work with small groups and ensure everyone enjoys the dives. I have had the pleasure of diving with Raul and Igor. First day shore diving was with Raul and were truly enjoyable dives. Lots of sea life and very relaxing dives. The snorkelling tour with my wife afterwards was also a very fun activity. Next day boat dives with Igor were also very enjoyable and a good experience. I highly appreciated the flexibility to adjust the dives slightly to meet my preferences. Many thanks again for the good experiences and hopefully see you soon again.
