We stop at the Flamingos and view the many beautiful birds at the Lagune.. We might see Pelicans and terns. The route takes us past the pink salt lakes of the huge Salt Mine and we learn how it works. We then turn north to Pelican point ;light house where the 50 000 seals colony is. We find a suitable spot to unload the Kayaks and then peddle into the the Bay. The seals swim around the Kayaks, what an awesome experience. We serve some cool drinks and sandwiches once we are done . Then everybody helps to load the Kayaks and we slowly go back to Walvis Bay.

We went out with Le Clue, he took us to Pelican point where we got into the kayak. The kayaks are very easy to use. We went between the seals, a unique experience that I can recommend to everyone.

We saw whales breaching, dolphins, flamingos and a jackal before even reaching the seals and then spent 40 minutes floating amongst them. Just magical!

Great activity in the heart of nature, I highly recommend. We did it as a family. Our guide Le Clue showed us a lot of things, and gave us a lot of explanations. We're safe all the time. Very rewarding. To do!

We were met by Stephan at our hotel. On the way to kayaking, Stephan gave us a great understanding of the history of Namibia, Walvis Bay and his own family history. Getting on the sand at Pelican Point was just our first adventure as we navigated the soft sand at speed. The real highlight was of course getting in the kayak (we used a double) and getting among the seals. The seals were very inquisitive, getting up close and scratching their whiskers and chewing on the paddles. Back on land, we spotted some jackals and were lucky enough to spot some whales about 50 metres offshore. All in all, a great day. Thanks, Stephan!
