Sam was insanely knowledgeable. He did a phenomenal job of explaining coffee's history and how tightly connected to culture it is, both in the PNW region, in the USA, and internationally. Plus the different types of coffee, the biology of how it's grown and where...truly insightful. Not to mention delicious!! Reasonable price, was about 2 hours or a bit longer.

Excellent walking tour featuring spirited local businesses around the capital hill area. I was impressed to find new joints and flavors, as a Seattle native I was pleasantly surprised to discover some truly hidden gems. Our guide Sam was enthusiastic and well prepared, catering us with drinks from a diverse background of cultures. From conventional to exotic we never stepped into the same coffee twice, learning many new facts along the way (along with one or two dad jokes). It was easy to see the care for the local businesses and history.

Excellent coffee tour. Sam is super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about coffee and the experience is just amazing. We explored several diverse top-notch coffee places, with each offering unique flavors and vibe. The 2 hours tour was walkable, engaging, and is around the famous Capitol Hill neighborhood. Overall great experience!

Very cool in-depth tour about all things coffee: history, production, tasting, and culture. As a Seattle native who thought they knew coffee, I found this tour to be incredibly insightful. We went to three coffee shops with vastly different coffee styles and tastes. It was so interesting, because up until now I just chose my boutique non Starbucks coffee shop at random, by convenience, overwhelmed by choice, and not understanding their differences. Sam, our tour guide, who is also a Seattle native, was a wealth of Seattle coffee knowledge! And boy oh boy does he know Seattle! This tour encourages me to be more adventurous and thoughtful with my coffee order, ordering something more unique to each cafe rather than just the same old oat-latte at every establishment. I would definitely recommend this tour! It’s a great date tour too. So fun!!

I had a wonderful time on the tour with Sam. I've lived in Seattle for the better part of a decade and learned a lot about the history of the city and it's relationship to coffee. Sam does a great job of providing a holistic look at the coffee scene in Capitol Hill as well as weaving in the effect coffee has had on the world.

Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely so down to earth. He was very helpful answering all of our questions and navigating me and my wife around the beautiful part of Seattle. Thank you again Sam and would definitely love to come back.

The tour had an amazing flow of information: a rich dive into coffee lore and my own pallet. Sam, our tour guide was so personable and packed full of fun knowledge about Seattle and its relation to coffee. I knew coffee was big here, but didn’t realize the rich history. The locations we went to were awesome. I can’t wait to go back to some of the spots, and recommend the tour to any friends or family who are visiting. Skip the Underground tour and do this instead!

This was such a wonderful way to get to know a new neighborhood, try coffee preparations I might not have otherwise, and learn about the history of coffee culture, both globally and locally. Sam was personable, flexible and enthusiastic, on top of having an encyclopedic knowledge on the topic. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a couple of hours to spare, regardless of coffee-drinking background.
