5.00Due to our cruise ship docking late, our time was limited to 5 hours. Alex and Dimitris took us through the countryside to see the only freshwater lake in Crete, the city of Lappa, the town of Spili, and the Kourtaliotiko gorge. Along the way, we met friendly locals, drank from a fountain of 26 lion heads, sampled local foods and beverages including homemade raki, and visited a Mycenaean tomb. Alex is a knowledgeable historian, entertaining story teller, and kept our teenagers engaged the whole time. Great tour and great guide! PS, we left a hat in the van and Alex went the extra mile to make sure a crew member from our ship got it back to us. Thanks Alex!

1.00Do not recommend. Was not worth the money in my opinion. Tour Guide made me uncomfortable with some of the comments she was making about tourist who visit Greece. The driver was nice, we spent most of the day inside the car driving.

5.00From the beginning of our tour, Alex was amazing!! He is extremely knowledgeable! Our first stop was Rethimno, where we enjoyed the cute shops and the marina. We then enjoyed Greek coffee in the town of Spili, went through a beautiful gorge on our way to the the monastery in Previli. We then toured the town of Argiroupoli, where we enjoyed a delicious Greek lunch. We lastly visited a gorgeous lake (Limni Kourna). We enjoyed our conversations with Alex as we traveled around the island.

5.00We had a fantastic day out in Crete on this tour. We did a private tour, and both our guide and our driver were outstanding. We saw beautiful sites, visited multiple towns, and we were even able to visit an olive oil factory that was closed for the season, but opened for us to see their factory and taste/purchase olive oil to take home. Fabulous day!
