5.00Very nice tour with classical visits supplemented with many insider tips - Jose knows history geology and above all local customs. He is also very helpful for advice on what to do and where to go (eg trails) on the island, a blessing when starting a trip here in Sao Miguel!

5.00Our guide, José Maria Santos, gave 110% to ensure our tour was the best it could possibly be. From Sete Cidades from so many vantage points to botanical gardens, thermal pools, and black sandy beaches, his pride and love for São Miguel shown through and was so appreciated. If you want to learn the full history of this beautiful island, I could not recommend it or José more. Thank you for a perfect day!

5.00Amazing 40th birthday trip and tour with Jose. We booked Jose for two separate private tours and he did not disappoint. His passion and knowledge for all things about the Azores and Sao Miguel is inspiring. My wife and I had the most amazing time as Jose easily and comfortably took us from one amazing location to another. His love of his country and easy going approach makes us want to come back for another tour as soon as possible!

5.00Jose was a great guide, really friendly and professional. Most importantly, he was extremely knowledgeable about all thing Azores. We had a private, full day tour of Sete Cidades and Fogo lakes, which we’d highly recommend. It was a fantastic way of seeing things off the beaten track.

5.00Jose is simply the best. He will do everything you expect from a tour guide and more. The only thing he won't do is...remove the fog from the craters in case it's there - but that's St. Peter's job to do! But seriously, if the weather does not cooperate, Jose has a variety of options to make your day memorable and will adjust the tour based on the conditions and your preferences. Luckily, there are so many amazing things to see on the island!

5.00We had an amazing private tour of the Sete Cidades area and our guide Jose made it even better! We also appreciated the flexibility of the private tour. Since we arrived early in the morning and could not check in to our hotel until mid afternoon, we were able to arrange a pick up from the airport, tour and then drop off at our hotel. It worked out great! Jose was a pleasure to spend the day with and we enjoyed all of the information he had to share and the places for us to see on this beautiful island. Being in the 4WD allowed us to see areas that our rental car the next few days wouldn't have made it to. Thank you for a wonderful day!

5.00Vera picked us up as planned at the port. We spent the day exploring the beautiful island. We had a gorgeous morning where we got to view the two lakes and the city below. During lunch (where we got to taste many island delicacies) a thick fog rolled in. It was amazing to see! We changed our plans to see the Pineapple farm instead of previous plans. So sweet and tasty! Vera shared her love of the island and its people. She taught us many things, and we look forward to going back to see her again some day! I would recommend booking early with this company and this guide!

5.00A knowledgeable guide, excellent comfortable transport, scientific and historical commentary and most of all a tour to some of the most enchanting spots of Sao Miguel. We thought we had seen it all but our guide showed us things that we had never seen on previous trips and new experiences in old vistas. I can't recommend Carpe Diem enough. April 22nd to May 3rd
