What To Expect
Xintiandi
Meet your local guide near the Xintiandi area at 9am, and start with the taste of the fresh fried pot stickers in the alleyway surrounded by city high rises. Discover Shanghai's breakfast culture by walking through the backyards of traditional stone-gate houses (Shikumeng) which soon will be demolished due to on going urban renewal projects.
Former French Concession
You will sample the thin noodles with various topping such as pickled vegetable, shredded pork braised in soy sauce, sweet potatoes with bean curd sauce. Sip a cup of the tea at the traditional tea shop in the local neighborhood.

5.00A really interesting experience, getting to see a different side to Shanghai that as a tourist it might not be as easy to encounter. The variety of dishes we tried was huge and so many of them were really delicious. Jade was a great guide, full of useful information and tips and she selected the best food for us to try. It really is a lot of food, make sure you are hungry!

5.00The tour is an intimate look into a few traditional Shanghai neighborhoods, a visit to a small history museum, and a taste of some delicious, long-established staples of the area. My tour guide Yu was sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend adding this experience to your journey!
