What To Expect
After being collected from your hotel, set off on an unforgettable journey to Gansbaai, the world-famous home of great white shark cage diving. Upon arrival at the dive base, enjoy light refreshments and a safety briefing from the expert crew before being fitted with shark cage diving gear. Board a purpose-built vessel and cruise across the ocean on an exhilarating 20-minute boat ride to the shark viewing area between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock, where anticipation builds as the crew prepares the cage. Once anchored, the cage is lowered just below the surface, offering safe and easy access to the water. Over the next two hours, guests take turns entering the cage for an up-close encounter with these powerful predators, while others enjoy views from the deck. Light snacks and beverages are served on board, and professional photographers capture the experience. After your thrilling encounter, return to shore to relax before your comfortable transfer back to your hotel, concluding an unforgettable marine adventure.

The experience is intense but well managed, and seeing sharks up close is unforgettable, while those who stayed on the boat still had a great view and felt included. Be prepared for an early start and cold water, but overall it is very well organised and worth considering if you are looking for something different.
