Lots of baby lemon sharks the moment you stayed still in the water. It was surprisingly warm for the sea. Went with a tour guide who added fish to the water as bait. It was a very good experience I would recommend.

Very knowledgeable guide (I think his name was Geordie?), was teaching everyone to be respectful of the animals and the environment, he genuinely cares about the area and its future. He was giving us a very informative talk on the sustainability of Sal as well as all the details you even need to know about the lemon sharks. The sharks came pretty much straight away as we arrived and were quite inquisitive. Another tour person started feeding them, and our guide explained why that was a really bad idea on multiple fronts from messing up their natural night-time feeding time, to associating humans with food which - once the animal is full grown - can lead to accidents!

The guide was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and full of other useful information about the island in general. Obviously passionate about the sharks. Really enjoyed it. Got some great pictures of the young sharks (need an underwater camera for best results)

It was really good. The sharks were very close to humans but it was safe. The water is nice and you feel safe. Tho our driver were 30 minutes late

Had an amazing excursion shark watching in Sal. Booking through trip advisor was easy. I received a WhatsApp from our guide Kelly confirming booking and time of our tour and she explained I could contact her if needed. Kelly arrived promptly at our hotel. The tour guides were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the island and taught my groups lots about the island history, landmarks and salt mines. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience overall.

We booked a smaller private tour to see the sharks with No limits as we had heard good things about them. Our guide Freddie was amazing so knowledgeable, he told us all about Sal on our very comfortable journey to the shark nursery. Was a wonderful experience to be so close to such graceful sharks who choose to Investigate you. Freddie took us to the volcano and he took great photos of us there. Would highly recommend No limits especially Freddie :)

We did this as part of an all day island tour and it was a great experience. You have to walk out about 100 feet into the sea over rocks, ensure you bring your own footwear if you want to avoid paying 2 euros to hire a pair but they are essential. Also ensure that you wear the shortest of shorts and keep your valuables as high up the body as possible as waves can reach up to above knee level on an average person. Great experience with loads of baby sharks swimming around in close proximity and the adult sharks just a further 20 feet away and visible. Not recommended if you are unsteady on your feet although guides will assist.

We came here as part of an island tour. You will need aqua shoes, as the sea bed is very rocky,so if you haven't already got some don't worry you can hire some crocs for 2 euros. You will wade out up to your thighs, so make sure you have appropriate clothing. The guide will tell you about the lemon sharks, and you should see some, as the guide will put some food in the water to entice them. It's quite difficult to take photos of them, it's probably easier to film them.

We have traveled to c.v. with three children.Very good destination. We have been in salt, santiago and boavista. security...the police are the closest thing I have found to the British police...they are to help you (in our case they came to call with their phones to help us in a problem with the transfer agency), if you do not get where you should not have no problem (if you visit Madrid you have not missed anything in the real vine). Very friendly people. Prices...very expensive..for tourists..haggling (little and fast) prices plummet. In our case the record was to lower a trip to bay cats (which is a scam for tourists) from 240 euros to 40 in 10 minutes. Otherwise a beautiful destination for children..sea turtles, sharks, pufferfish...especially some very good snorkels on your own.I am at your disposal to answer specific questions as counting the whole trip would be very long and I type slow. The only thing that the mail does not usually look very often.
