5.00If you are English only speaking it is a good thing to know in advance what to expect in the journey from Israel crossing at the Sheik Hussein bridge and hiring a car to travel to Aaman. Both King Hussein Bridge & Sheikh Hussein Bridge are closed on Saturdays. King Hussein Bridge’s Friday hours: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Sheikh Hussein Bridge’s Friday hours: Open until 5:30 PM (17:30 hrs). Procedure : Once the clear Israeli immigration and pay the exit tax (which I believe is in the $35 per person area) – you will need to catch the hourly scheduled intra-border shuttle (timing may vary) which takes them to the Jordanian side at a cost of $10 per person+ Luggage. It is a few minutes ride to cross the river. Once on the Jordanian side, clear immigration, buy the entry visa, and take a taxi to the border gate (around $5 per car). Once they exit the border, the easiest way to get to Amman is by Tax which costs around $70-$80 +/- (they need to set the price with the driver before commencing the ride). There is no exact set price. Also, no need to go to Irbid. The ride from Sheikh Hussein to Amman is approximately 2 hours. Tipping is not required. Our driver is Murad Ibrahim.
