Regarding luggage, we allow one piece of luggage per person during the excursion. Please also ensure that the luggage is manageable and fits comfortably within our vehicle. (The maximum size for luggage stored in the trunk should not exceed a total of 155cm- combined height, width, and depth.) Please also be aware that any items stored in the trunk will not be accessible in between stops on the tour, so keep all valuables with you.
Upon arrival, please confirm your name with the guide or staff on the participant list.

Infants under 3 years old are free of charge without seat. If a seat is required, please book under the child's price.

What To Expect
Takayama
Experience Edo-period Japan in Takayama and the UNESCO-listed Shirakawa-go village. You will have lunch at your own expense in Takayama, a town filled with interesting sights and serving as the gateway to the Japanese Alps. Be sure to explore the Sanmachi Suji District, which consists of three streets in the heart of Takayama's Edo town, located just east of the Miya-gawa River. These streets are lined with traditional houses, shops, restaurants, sake breweries, and cafes.
As part of your experience, savor a delectable Japanese-style teppanyaki set lunch at the renowned Koshiyama restaurant in Shirakawa-go. Indulge in the local specialty, Japanese Beef 'Hida Gyu,' which is raised in Gifu Prefecture and renowned for its rich marbling and exquisite flavor. 4.00Incredible scenery, beautiful part of Japan to visit with fascinating history! Be forewarned: it’s 10+ hours of which 5+ is driving. Also: if you are going in the winter make sure you bring warm clothes with rain gear! Weather is unpredictable! Alberto was prepared, organized, detail-oriented and clearly invested in his role as guide! Only challenge was his heavy accent: very challenging to understand.

5.00Well organized. We visited two villages nestled in the mountains of Gifu prefecture. The guide Liu was very kind and competent as well as the driver Mr Eto good driving and helpful. Time to visit independently was enough. Lunch at the restaurant was ready for us and reserved as well as very good.

4.00This was a nice tour. It was cool going away from the big city and traveling through mountains to these destinations. The tour guide was nice, and the places are amazing and gave decent time to explore before having to leave. I would say a bus made things much easier since traveling by train would take a long time. These places, especially, Shirakawa-go is pretty isolated. The place has a lot of tourists so that can be a bit overwhelming. There are countless buses that come and go but I don't think it takes much away from the experience.

4.00This tour was well organized, timely, the bus was clean and cool with the A/C, lunch was fine, and I really appreciated the ability to go see these more countryside areas of Gifu. Really no complaints, just wish I had more than 90 minutes at each location. Leaves around 8 and gets back 18:30
