The bus picked us up and dropped us off right at the Port, and we were given ample time to explore at Blarney Castle and Kinsale.

Tour company was Paddywagon tours. The day felt a bit rushed as the bus did not leave port area until 9:10 am but this was due to tardiness of passengers. Paul was a great driver, tour guide and storyteller. Explained at a high level the conflict between the Catholics and the Protestants in the country - just enough detail to understand. Blarney Castle grounds were beautiful. Did not get to go into castle as by the time we reached the castle the line up to go inside was over 60 min long and we only had 2 hours at the site. Unfortunately, we had a group who were 15 min late returning to the bus at assigned time and this impacted the pace of the tour after this. Drive through Cork was so fast that if we blinked would have missed it. Stop in Kinsale was nice, but driver only told of 2 places to grab a bite. Did not provide any direction on things to do/see at this town. Did not direct us to town info building, had to find ourselves. Did not get to drive by the church in Cobh as was advertised. The bus itself was ok but noted broken seats and USB ports not working. Wifi was also unreliable. The quality of bus did not match the price charged for tour. The most positive aspect of the experience was Paul, our driver and guide.

Our guide (DJ) was entertaining and fun. He gave us interesting facts about Ireland. We had enough time to visit the different sites.

A lot of stairs in a spiral staircase getting narrow near top not as back if you have a line in front of you if you are on early bus it’s a work out. Remember what goes up must come down there is as many steps down as going up. When kissing stone you lay on back and lower yourself in hole and there is someone to assist you.
