• Anticlimactic rollercoaster ride

  We visited Tromso mainly for a while watching experience and booked with Brim Explorer based on all their great reviews. The boat was large and comfortable with plenty of space for all on board, friendly and knowledgable crews and good facilities. However the weather wasn’t our friend and before departure we were advised it may be a bumpy journey on the way back later in the day. However the journey there was also unpleasant and after 5 minutes in the whale feeding grounds and a brief glimpse of a dorsal fin we turned back and endured over 2 hours of quite frankly terrifying conditions. What resulted was like a scene from a zombie apocalypse with people lying on the floor, sick bags galore and not a sound to be heard. Unfortunately we didn’t leave with terrific memories of whale watching but a harsh lesson into just how unpredictable our waters can be.

  It was amazing 😍😍 we saw Orcas and Humpback whales in their natural environment, weather was excellent they have been swimming so close, and fjords views are stunning, definitely recommend this tour.

  Amazing experience. I know there are other tours on smaller boats that get much closer to the whales but this felt comfortable to me. It’s at least four hours boat ride to get to the area where the Whales are with beautiful views.. we had orcas circling the boat so we got to see a lot of them. The boat is very comfortable and the tour guides really take care of you with some great facts. My advice is to arrive 30 minutes before your departure date so that you’re able to get the best seat, which I thought was top deck front. We were lucky enough to have an amazing experience coming back and seeing the northern lights. The negative is the journey back was quite long as it was pitch black at this point, but it was all part of the experience and without her we would not have been able to see the northern lights. I would 100% recommend this tour. Notes that it was wheelchair friendly including bathrooms. It was a total dream experience.

  An absolutely incredible experience, led by very friendly informative staff. The boat was clean, and the catering facilities were more than adequate for the 8 hour trip. We travelled north out of Tromso for approximately 3 hours before our first encounter with the Orcas. It was magical and so worth the wait. The scenery on the way through the fjords was breathtaking, and the staff educated us from time to time on the marine life in the waters around Tromso and beyond. Would highly recommend

  We had a lovely experience on the tour to see whales, and got to see orcas. The crew were funny and informative and we enjoyed the nice modern boat. The boat was quite dark inside so hard to read but it was relaxing until the Spanish music party which was fun! We stayed with the orcas about an hour. Smooth sailing on the catamaran. Thank you!

  We got the 8.15am boat, I'd recommend getting there early so you can get a seat with a table, be prepared to share as the boat was full, very well organised and informative, we were lucky as we had no bad weather and found the orcas earlier in the trip than normal.

  All round an amazingly comfortable and totally professionally conducted voyage...the crew were informative, helpful and yet unobtrusive...the scenery was jaw-droppingly awesome and we saw numerous Orca close to our boat. The boat itself is warm and comfortable and tho fully booked didn't feel crowded ...all in all the trip of a lifetfor me so thank you so much to you all

  The whole day was fantastic, perfect weather conditions, knowledgeable guides, great whale sightings and even an added bonus of reindeer crossing the fjord. Boat was accessible for the disabled member of our party, ramps, electric doors, disabled toilet and easy mobility in the cabin.
