My mother and I had the pleasure of joining Andrés for the Silex Tours: Wine, History and Culture in Colonia del Sacramento, and it was truly spectacular from beginning to end. Andrés is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about both the region’s history and its wines. He created such a welcoming atmosphere that it felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a friend who knows everything about Colonia. The balance of history, culture, and wine was perfect. Andrés shared fascinating stories about Colonia while guiding us through beautiful places we would never have discovered on our own. And the wine… my mother summed it up perfectly when she said it was stunning. Every tasting felt thoughtfully chosen and gave us a wonderful introduction to Uruguayan wines. This experience will remain one of the highlights of our trip. My mother and I will be talking about this day for years to come. Thank you, Andrés, for such a memorable and special experience.
