A night tour can be undertaken in this section, offering you a different viewing experience. The magnitude, history, and beauty of this extraordinary place are simply breathtaking. However, what made the experience even more special was the exceptional professionalism of our guide. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. Our guide was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, and very attentive to every detail. 5.00A great experience. A very good stretch to see the Wall of China without looking like Port Aventura. Gubei is beautiful, it is clearly not a historic city, but it is a very well done recreation as we were told. It is a good place to walk after the visit. We did a private tour with Song, one of the guides who speaks Spanish, and the truth is that he was very friendly and attentive. He speaks the language perfectly and explained many curiosities. We felt like friends in no time. 100% recommended.

5.00This is my 5th trip with Catherine Lu around China and she did not disappoint us. Besides the usual professionalism , my guide went a step further by engaging my kids in Chinese art and craft while waiting for the sunset at Simatai Great Wall. This not only kept them busy but it also allowed them to appreciate the beauty of Simatai and translate it into their artwork. It was truly an enjoyable experience !

5.00We undertook this tour in mid-April. My family were picked up from our Beijing Hotel around lunchtime and driven to Gubei Water Town. It is resort type development of a historical Chinese village at the the bottom of mountain range on which the Great Wall of China is built. The Chinese historical village is itself worth a visit but the highlight of this day out was the short cable car trip to the peak of the mountain then a brief ascend to be a top of the Great Wall. We then walked along the wall for four guard towers, before watching the sunset in the West of the mountain range. An additional treat was Chinese candle balloon release (drone display) in the village just after sunset at 7.30pm and then the walk back through the village with its shimmering lights, providing further photo opportunities. On behalf of my family, I would like to express our deepest appreciation for an amazing tour. Our guide Angel was exceptional! Her friendliness, knowledge and helpfulness throughout the day was out standing. She helped throughout the visit including organizing a lunch at one of the many eateries in Gubei Water Town. We could not have asked for a better tour guide and experience. With much gratitude for offering this amazing tour with an exceptional guide. After the drive back to Beijing we were dropped off at Daxing International Airport for our late evening early morning departure.

5.00Amazing trip to Simatai Great Wall. The night view below was breathtaking, give us an idea on how the soldiers guarded the towns below, totally giving the soldiers a sense of responsibility. Gubei water town was very pretty. Although this place is rebuilt, it gives us a good idea of a water town in the olden times. The drone show was quite nice too. We were very happy with our guide, James, who is very knowledgeable, adjusted to our pace and brought us to the right places for the right photos! Being in the onset set of winter means reduced crowd and a different feel of the place.

Driver on time, impeccable service, Wendy went above and beyond explaining the cultural significance behind each site visited and took AMAZING photos all day ! 5.00Amazing experience!!! James and the driver was amazing. Friendly, patient people. Picked us up from the hotel and took us to Gubei water town. We explored the different parts and building significance. As my mother and I loves to buy little trinkets, James would recommend and translate to the local shops owners what we wanted. He was very sincere on when we wanted to take a break or go to eat for dinner. On the way up to the wall, James was continuing to tell us facts and history about the town and the wall itself. As someone who has slight leg injuries, James was really patient on how slow we walked on the wall and in the town. Overall, the trip was amazing and would recommend to everyone. We learnt a lot from him. :)
