Fantastic experience. We get to see a different side of Joo Chiat. Best of all -- you get to use monopoly money to buy a drink in the real world ! Fun and engaging. This should be a "must-do" activity for anyone. Highly recommended.

Went with a large group of 9, consisting of 4 adults and 5 teens. Finding the starting point was easy, but the set up of the team via the QR code took quite a while and we needed help from the shop attendant. The QR code connected to the chatbot Void Deck Cat, which provided a string of instructions. It took a while to realise that the QR code generated on the chatbot of the 'team leader's phone was for all other team members to scan in with their own phones to join the what's app group with Void Deck Cat. Once all have joined the chat group, the team leader then confirms the team members. We also collected our tote bags with $300 Monopoly which could be used at participating shops, which will display the Monopoly sign. There's also a bottle of water, a map of the area, and a Chance card key chain. After the set up, things were smoother. As we had very large group the chat messages came in fast and furious as any member can enter and answer or a response to questions posed by the chatbot. The recommended size of each group was 5. Whenever we were stuck on a question we could ask for hints. The journey took us to about 15 sites in a stretch of about 1 to 2 km. We learnt a lot about the early history of the place, and why Tanjong Katong got its name. Lots of beautiful hidden murals which could easily be missed if we didn't slow down to look for them. Overall it too about 90 to 120 min to complete.

Love the fun facts which helped to demystify for me (as a local) the interesting streets and landmarks of Joo Chiat and Katong. I can't wait to try out the other Monopoly Game in other precincts.

We have always enjoyed the experience of exploring Singapore’s iconic locations and learning about their history through HIDDEN’s Self guided adventures. For this Joo Chiat adventure, the process has been quite smooth sailing except for this first part where we scanned the QR code and there seems to be an error. Thanks to Edwin from the HIDDEN team who troubleshooted the issue for us immediately and ensured there is absolutely no disruption to our gameplay! He responded in a fun way which complements the gameplay tone of communication by the Void deck cat. We would have enjoyed it perfectly if not for the extremely hot weather during gameplay. Luckily there are indoor locations included for us to hide away from the heat. Most vendors are friendly and they are willing to explain their business, and are helpful too. Overall, we had a deeper appreciation and understanding of Joo Chiat after this experience!

Tried the Hidden Monopoly experience at Joo Chiat and it was a really fun and unique activity! I liked that we could use Monopoly money and move around the neighbourhood . it made everything feel more interactive and engaging compared to typical indoor games. It also encouraged us to explore and notice more of Joo Chiat, which was a nice touch. The game was easy to follow and well organised, so we could just enjoy the experience without any confusion. Overall, it’s a simple but enjoyable activity and you can do it at your own pace, great for a casual outing with friends or something different to do over the weekend. Would recommend!
