What To Expect

Lamanai Archaeological Reserve

What a day! On your way to the remote site, take an amazing wildlife river adventure where you are bound to see spider monkeys, crocodiles, the variety of birds, and the flora and fauna along the New River banks. On arrival at Lamanai Mayan ruins, you will get to look at the Mask Temple, the High Temple, the Ball Court, the residential area and the Jaguar Temple. Your guide will give you detailed information on the historic significance of each area, and you will get the opportunity to climb up the High Temple via the original stairway built by the Mayas, and get a spectacular panoramic view of the lagoon and the surrounding jungle.

From the first moment to the last every detail was carefully considered and carefully crafted for an outstanding experience. The driver and guide were friendly out going funny and full of love for both the adventure itself as well as the country they call home. All questions about the adventure, the ruins and the country were answered with a lovely mixture of fact fun and personal anecdote-it was like sitting in the mist comfortable of living rooms having a drink with a friend.
Great way to spend a day of being spoiled.

We actually did the single Lamanai Maya temple ruins trip. The whole day was well planned out, It started with a smooth flight from San Pedro to Belize city Municipal Airport where we were picked up By Tony and Jason our guides for the day. I can’t say enough about how professional and accommodating these two were. Best way to describe it has to be show up as friends and leave like family. After a quick stop for a light breakfast and juice we were on our way to hop aboard the boat to Lamanai. Tony did a great job of explaining the areas we traversed thru with his knowledge about local customs and history, While Jason gave us a nice comfortable ride to our next adventure. The boat ride to Lamanai, along with a great tour of the Mayan ruins by Eduardo was just as fabulous. Eddie did a great job pointing out different species of birds and wildlife from crocs to the very Jurassic park sounding howler monkeys. Our return trip was just as fun and enlightening as we made our way back to the airport for our return flight to San Pedro. It was so enjoyable to have everything taken care of from flights to tours, And plenty of food and ice cold beverages. We will be using them again on our next adventure.
