My wife and I had an awesome time with Lara and Erin. We would recommend this hike to anyone who wants to see breathtaking views and experience the Alaska wilderness.

Jianna is a Legend! I couldn’t quite find the exact name of the excursion we booked but was a hike and rafting excursion, If you’re docking in Alaska and debating shore excursions, stop scrolling and book this one. Our small group of six had Jianna as our guide, and she single-handedly made the whole day feel like we’d lucked into the VIP wilderness experience. Jianna is the Swiss Army knife of guides: shuttle driver, hiking expert, history buff, raft rower, and plant-safety instructor all rolled into one ridiculously competent human. You can tell she actually loves this stuff—her passion is contagious, and her knowledge runs deep without ever feeling like a lecture. She kept a perfect eye on everyone’s pace and comfort, which was much appreciated when my legs started asking why we couldn’t just admire nature from the raft the whole time. The hike itself was solid. Lots of trees (shocking, I know 😉), but we also spotted a bald eagle, a sea lion, and an extremely photogenic red squirrel. Jianna kept us alive by pointing out which berries would ruin our vacation in creative ways. The only downside? You spend so much time watching your feet that the scenery sometimes feels like a background app. That’s where the rafting portion saved the day. Much easier to actually look up and soak in the views, snap decent pictures, and just enjoy floating through Alaska like it’s a giant nature documentary. The periodic history stops on the hike were a nice touch too—no one wants to raft past centuries of stories without context. Perfect group size, zero dull moments, and a guide who clearly knows her stuff inside and out. If you want to actually experience Alaska instead of just checking a box, this is the one. Jianna for president (of wilderness adventures). Highly recommend!

We did an adventure zip line with Celeste and Caden, not the adventure hike. For some reason the Trip Advisor app doesn’t work well with the iPhone 17. Anyway, Celeste and Caden were a lot of fun! They told us fun facts, some jokes and riddles, and we had lots of laughs. The zip line adventure starts off with some rope obstacles course, then you move on to the zip line fun. They offered hot chocolate and snacks after, while we waited for the van to take us back to town. Would recommend!

What a great little hike! The steepness of the trail, both up and down, qualifies this as challenging and adventurous, but there are ropes to ease the way, and the reward is a beautiful view! I loved getting away from the noise and busy-ness of our cruise ship and into the beautiful, quiet forest for a while. Our guide, Evan, was super-friendly, fun and chill, and more than happy to adjust to our pace. Recommended!

We didn't know what to expect on this excursion from the cruise ship, but we had a memorable and fun experience thanks to our two ladies who guided us up and down the mountain. They were both friendly, helpful, and informative as we climbed up and then descended the path. The ropes were helpful on the steeper parts!
