This was a great tour- mini bus ensured a small group of travelers instead of a motorcoach. Patrick, our driver was knowledgeable and provided great history and commentary along the way. He was able to get great spots to stop and take pictures and advised where to actually get the best pictures from. He was on the lookout for wildlife along the way and pulled over when a bear was along side the road for great picture taking. The lunch at Caribou Crossing was delicious, and the perfect amount of time for a stop. We especially like the stop at Carcross- cute little shops and great coffee. The Carcross desert was an unexpected site. The area was crowded with large motor coaches as the went toward Caribou Crossing so Patrick stopped on the way back to Skagway instead so we had opportunity for better photos. Although everything you read says to take the train- it doesn’t stop along the way, so this tour provides a much better experience and value for the money!

We loved, loved, loved this experience! Mike the tour guide was so great at explaining everything, telling about the history and his personal experiences in Skagway. Going to so many different places and being able to get down and take pictures was great. Mike even offered to take pictures for people. The smallest desert was so cool and we even saw some bears on the side of the road. Great tour for kids and grown ups.
