What To Expect
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal 'Crown of the Palace' is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (r. 1628–1658) to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the centerpiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall.
Agra Fort
Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. It was also known as the “Lal-Qila”, “Fort Rouge” or “Qila-i-Akbari”.

5.00Imran was very knowledgable about about the monument, it's connection to other beautiful structures in Agra - and generally how it came to be. As an avid history and architecture buff, naturally I had many questions - which he patiently answered, while providing an alternative PoV to certain myths that abound. He also helped click a boatload of pics - a few of which can be professional grade. He was an able chaperone, helping navigate around curious primates, exuberant hawkers, and the odd palm-greasing. He wasn't pushy about the upsell - but did respectfully suggest checking out local artisans and food delicacies. I couldn't indulge because of a bus I was running late for. Overall would recommend - but do try and visit at sunrise to avoid the crowds - and also try to time it in Feb for decent temps, lower crowds and relatively low smog.

5.00Our tour was excellent. Vinny was friendly and knowledgeable about Taj and the history of surrounding area. It was a hot day but we took ample breaks in the shade. He took us to great spots for pictures and took amazing pics. Really enjoyed the tour!

5.00Very informative experience! Vinny, our guide, was so kind and willing to go above and beyond to assist us. He took many pictures and was always willing to go the extra mile. Our driver Jay made sure we went there and back comfortably. There was water and the option of masala tea provided. All in all a great way to see the Taj and Agra Fort.

5.00Immy our guide is outstanding. He greeted us politely and demonstrated his competence by outlining the day. His presentation of the Taj Mahal and its place in the overall Indian history was clear and he answered questions effectively. The Fort was the same. As we are in our late 70s, though well and mentally able, he moderated yhe pace of the day perfectly for us. He is a quality pwrson and representative of India with an obvious passion for his nation. We highly recommend him and thank Immy sincerely.
