  Overall great experience . From the bus pick up point to hoping on the Skyrail was easy . Attractions at Kuranda were in easy walking distance .Out of the blue after visiting the bird sanctuary we enjoyed lunch , curry dishes were very popular there..Return trip aboard the train Gold Class in Carriage 8 was was amazing . Individual padded seats were lovely. Our refreshments package was a nice touch kicking our departure off was complimentary unlimited drinks including red, white ,sparkling wines , orange juice or chilled water .Local macadamias ,individual cheese boards for each person followed by a creamy mango sorbet all of which was served to you in your seat , and done brilliantly by our happy carriage attendant. Many scenic photos were taken , was great how our attendant informed us of upcoming photo ops and where to take them from , she was such a lovely person( sorry I didn’t get her name). It was a long day but you could do as much or as little as you wanted to do . Was a great experience

  The whole thing was enjoyable but up on the gondola and back on train ,go gold class and have the nibbles and drink on train .

  Travelling over the tree tops, seeing waterfalls was a true delight in our gondola. This was followed up with a day wandering the lovely town of Kuranda with it's quirky metal art, varying shops and eateries. This was followed by the scenic train trip was the icing on the cake. The stops along the way to glimpse waterfalls, the service in gold class was exceptional.

  Kuranda and the surrounding rainforest are stunning. We were picked up from our hotel and travelled first on the Skyrail, enjoying the stops on the way. The Koala Gardens, Butterfly Sanctuary and Bird World are all well worth a visit, with my son loving the close up time with the birds the most and my daughter favouring patting the koalas and kangaroos. We enjoyed one of the walks too, taking in the sights such as the Barron river. The Gold class journey home topped it all off (especially for my train loving husband), with excellent sights, narration and service. The food and drinks were excellent. All in all a day we will definitely remember for a long time.

  Kuranda was a really nice visit. The boat tour is definitely worth it. We are glad we started with it after arriving in Kuranda to learn more about the area and see freshwater crocodiles, turtles, fish, and birds. Birdworld was also much better than expected. It is an open aviary, so you get up close to the birds and a lot of them are quite sweet and let you hold and pet them. The gold class train tickets are definitely worth it too. All around, it was a very enjoyable day. We did not want our time in Kuranda to end.
