5.00Hidden behind one of prague's numerous beautiful boulevards, is this excellent museum. Not only does it shows the history of cinema, including interactive, working models (including a detailed look inside a screening machine), and a cool VR experiencemm you learn about the science, physics and psychology behind it. There is also a wall dedicated to "behind the scenes" of designing and creating an animated movie, which I learned a lot from. The staff were very friendly, and fluent in English. The tour is about 1 - 1.5 hours, I heartily recommend it.

5.00One of the best film museums I’ve ever done in Europe. It is fun, well thought out and very very playful. Everything is perfect! I recommend it 100%, go with your eyes closed!

5.00I was walking through the streets of Prague, just walking around the city with no real plan, waiting for my transfer to the airport to leave. I was heading to the railway station, when by chance I saw a sign for the Film Museum. Just the type of thing I was quietly hoping for. The staff was helpful and the exhibition itself was pleasant and had really much to see. If you want to experience everything and want to actually read the signs and do some foley sounds for films, it could take up to 2 hours. I didn't have the proper time this time, went through it in maybe 45 minutes - maybe the full experience next trip! I would suggest this to anyone that is even remotely interested in history - film related or not. I did know most of the film history already, but it was fun to see it and try it yourself. Also would imagine it would be a fun trip for the younger attendees. And if you don't have time, drop in for a takeaway latte (coffee was goood) and buy some Jaw socks.

5.00I absolutely loved this museum. It was educational with interactive activities that really added to the experience. Usually I’m anti-VR and think that they’re kind of scammy but the Darkening Film and the other VR they had were both super engaging and neat. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me with the different interactive parts and sought me out to let me know when the different rooms were free for me to use. The foley room was especially cool and so was the room with film through just audio. Not sure how to describe it any better but super cool and something I’d never seen/heard before. Overall super cool museum that I’d recommend to anyone!

5.00A well organized exhibition that shows us a summary of the history and evolution of filmmaking, showcasing some of the inventions used up to the early 20th century. The VR visit can be a little dizzying at first, but overall it is quite enjoyable. Surely worth the ticket price.
