What To Expect
During the activities, we will hike. On easy terrain enjoying the rainforest, for almost an hour trying to observe wildlife the free Wildlife We might get to see Sloth, Toucan, Monkeys, reptiles like frogs and snakes always keeping it safe for everybody Afterward, we will drive about five minutes to the coffee and chocolate experience. Once there, we are going to be walking and experiencing the fields of coffee and cocoa. After the walk, we're gonna have the opportunity to try and taste out the techniques and flavors of the coffee and chocolate preparation thats make Costa Rican produce taste so amazing. And of course enjoy our lively Costarrican lunch. Then we head back to your hotel if needed on the way there is a restroom stop called El Jardin where you can enjoy souvenirs Cholate and coffee in the place tasting if you are staying on and Airbnb you can get great tasting food ar reasonable price to bring back to your property and a great dessert like ice cream or smoothies to go.

5.00The tour we booked included the waterfall, hot springs with mud bath, lunch, and rain forest to see the sloths. Our driver and guide was Mick. We recommend going with him as he is easy to chat with and gives an artistic interpretation to the scenery, which is so diverse as we move from one location to the next. The lunch meal was absolutely delicious. This tour should be on your bucket list if you love nature and wildlife.

5.00Meek was our guide for the, he was awesome. Due to a communication issue or trip was postponed by a day and we added the hot springs and mud bath. Having the extra time with Meek was a plus. The sloth, coffee, chocolate portion was great. We ate some termites, saw a toucan, snakes, sloths. The mud bath and hot springs were great as we felt like our group of four were the only ones there.

5.00Fantastic tour. Our guide Mick was fantastic, very knowledgeable and perfect english. We saw all the wildlife we expected to see. There were many three-toed and two-toed sloths. Spider and Howler Monkees. Toucan, Motmot and many other birds. We picked coffee and ground local coffee beans. We roasted cacao beans and ground them to make chocolate. We made a tortilla and empanada. The people were so nice and knowledgeable. We finished with a meal at a country restaurant where they cooked an entire meal on a wood fire. We highly recommend this tour to see the most wild life and local customs in a single tour.

5.00We did a full-day excursion with Alex On The Beach Adventures, and it was hands down the best day of our Costa Rica trip. Our group was a family of 11 people ranging in age from 5 to 80, and every single person had an incredible time. The tour included Llanos de Cortez waterfall, a hanging bridges walk, a sloth observatory (in the wild), a delicious lunch, coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane experience, water/drinks, transportation, and a bilingual guide. It was a full, adventurous, and beautifully curated day where we saw so much wildlife and learned a lot about Costa Rica and the rainforest. What truly made the experience exceptional was Alex himself. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and friendly, and you can immediately tell how deeply he loves Costa Rica and what he does. He genuinely wants to share his passion with travelers and went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience. We never once felt rushed, and he was amazing with both kids and adults. His warmth and enthusiasm really set this tour apart. The views were absolutely stunning, and seeing a sloth in the wild was surreal, a true bucket-list moment for us (not to mention monkeys, toucans, snakes, frogs, and a lot more - all in the wild). Everything exceeded our expectations. A few helpful tips: it’s a long day, so be prepared, but it’s very well paced and not rushed at all. Alex can also customize the itinerary if you want to add or remove stops. We personally loved having the full-day experience since we planned more relaxed beach days around it. The physical level is easy, with just a bit of uphill walking; even our older family members managed just fine. And definitely bring bug spray. This tour is great for kids too; our children (ages 5–10) loved it, and honestly, so did everyone else. We would 100% recommend Alex On The Beach Adventures and hope to book more tours with Alex the next time we’re back in Costa Rica. An unforgettable experience.

5.00We came to Costa Rica as a large group of 14 people (7 kids and 7 adults). We met Carlos on the beach the first day we arrived at Planet Hollywood and booked multiple tours. Carlos was amazing with accommodating our large group and our driver Javier was amazing! It was a wonderful trip!

5.00We had an absolutey incredible experience with this tour. Alex was our tour guide and driver for the day. He was incredibly knowledgeable about flora, fauna, the history of costa rica and the land. We started at the Cortez Waterfalls, which was spectacular. He took amazing videos and family photos for us. Then we made our way to the volcanoes and hot springs - the kids enjoyed this too. It was fascinating to learn about the history and see the rocks and volcanoes. Afterwards, lunch was included at an authentic Costa Rican restaurant in the rainforest. Best food we have had so far on this trip. Kids loved the food as well. In the rainforest we saw sloths close up, tuscans, viper snakes, red eye frogs (blue jean frogs) and so many gorgeous plants that we learned about. It was phenomenal. We cant wait to come back and do this same tour with Alex next year. Big difference going private where you are on your own schedule. Recommend 💯
