We are traveling in Costa Rica with 2 other families with smaller children. As we booked this tour we were not exactly sure what to expect. All I can say is that it exceeded our expectations!! It was the highlight of our trip!! Gino was the most knowledgeable and kind tour guide. Our children went with us on this trip hoping to spot some wildlife. Gino helped us to find toucans (which were absolutely gorgeous), sloths, tree frogs, snakes, butterflies, and monkeys all in the wild! He helped us to learn more about these animals, the rainforest, and the culture in Costa Rica. We cannot believe how much we learned in one day. If you’re looking for a wonderful tour whether you’re an adult, have children, or just want to learn about animals and Costa Rica itself make sure you ask for Gino! By far the best tour guide I have ever had along my travels.

We had such a wonderful experience with Carlos. He spent time providing information about Costa Rica on our drive to the volcano. We so enjoyed our horseback riding, hike and hanging bridges to see a number of waterfalls and then a mud bath ritual. Because we did a private tour we were able to customize the experience and had a wonderful lunch at the La Forketta in Liberia where they surprised my son with a traditional dessert and song for his birthday. It was overall excellent experience and highly recommend this tour company and ask for Carlos!

Dont miss out on this. Very unique and scenic. This doesn't take you to the primary crater which requires 4 hours hike each way

We had an absolutely amazing experience that exceeded all expectations! Our driver/tour guide Carlos was informative, and patient. He kept us on schedule to do everything so we didn’t miss a thing and did so much in just one day! My family and I fell in love with Costa Rica and will definitely be back and will use TripAdvisor for all future tours while traveling!
