Real Alcazar de Sevilla

This will be a much deeper and in a reduced group visit to the Alcazar than the usual. We'll meet at the main monumental area of Sevilla. After the first insight and getting to know each other we'll enter the Alcazar. Once inside I'll give you explanations about the Justice Room and the Palace of Plaster. Then we'll see the House of Trade and the Admiral's Room and you'll discover the importance of Seville and the Alcazar during the discovery and conquest of the Americas. Our next stop will be at the Mudejar Palace, built by Peter I back in the 1300's. The mixure of the different Moorish styles with the Christian atmosphere made that every king wanted to leave his legacy in this magnificent structure. The last structure we'll visit will be the Gothic Palace, the first Christian building of the Alcazar. Then we'll head to the gorgeous gardens to finish our 2 hour guided tour at Maria Padilla Baths. Then you'll have all the time needed to explore the garden at your own pace

  • This was a fantastic experience and no photos can capture how beautiful this palace is. Laura brought it all to life.

Laura was a fantastic tour guide and I would certainly recommend this tour. There was so much to learn about the history and architecture and Laura managed to make it clear and understandable with a little bit of humour too. She did a great job at remembering our names too!

If there was a way to give more than 5 starts, I would. Carlos was the best tour guide ever! Not only was he very knowledgeable, he had VERY excellent people skills. He put in effort to know the names of the people in the group, where each one was from and other details to offer better engagement from the participants. He was also very funny and never had a dull moment. I would take this tour again with him if I go back to Seville!

We found José to be extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He told many stories that helped our experience. Extremely well spoken to English was easy to understand and he was very animated. It just was a very delightful tour. We strongly recommend him as a tour guide.

  • Company bought tickets for the wrong day. Not able to visit the alcazar.

The manager of the company that viator subcontracted to bought the tickets for the wrong day, so despite purchasing these tickets weeks ago, we were not able to see the alcazar. All the tickets were sold out. I gave an extra star for the tour guide Carmen who gave us an exceptional city tour instead. She was very knowledgeable and an outstanding tour guide. I was really disappointed though that we didn’t get to tour the alcazar.

  • Excellent engaging guided Tour.

Carlos is very engaging and has a commanding presence. He is a very well informed art historian and gave us a very thorough tour of the alcazar. I can’t really recommend this tour highly enough. He kept everyone on our small tour laughing and interested. I think the real testament to his talent is that he kept the 8 year old tour member focused the entire time while still relating all the complexities of this incredible palace. Probably one of the best tours I’ve ever been on.

  • Great Tour, a must!

So amazing & beautiful. There is so much culture & history. We had a fabulous tour guide, Cristina who provided so much inside information. Even showing us the scenes that were filmed at the palace from the Game of Thrones on her phone. The gardens were spectacular & even on a cold, gray & rainy day it was still just wonderful

  • I wouldn’t use this company

This afternoon we booked for the small group walking tour for tomorrow. Within two hours they phoned and rescheduled for two days time. This is not possible. We leave Seville early that morning. Given they cancelled to Borrows tour you would assume an automatic refund. But this is not the case! We are still waiting for a refund! I wouldn’t recommend booking with this group.

The tour with Carmen was not just about history or insider stories, it was a dense and rewarding two hour journey that truly made me feel like I was part of an adventurous romantic drama!
