Awesome bike ride with Duc! No problems for him when my 9 year old decided he could not ride the bike (overwhelmed by the traffic at first), so he had a seat delivered and my son sat on the back of his dads bike. Cooking class was extra fun and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour with Duc!! Well worth it - experience was great and the food at the end was sublime. We biked through villages and fields, rode a water buffalo, rode in fishing boats, and cooked (and ate) at the end. Thoroughly recommend!!

Splendid bicycle tour. I went on the morning option, and there were only three people in our tour. Traveling around by bicycle through rice patties/scenic fields is a great way to explore the peaceful side of Hoi An. Mr. Cu is very knowledgeable and makes the tour so interesting. He has a broad knowledge of the local plants and herbs which he points out throughout the tour. Meeting a local farming couple and getting to feed and ride a water buffalo, as well as experiencing what plowing is like and planting rice in the ground was very interesting and enjoyable. The kind lady rinses your feet afterwards.

Fantastic tour packed with fun activities! We loved it and made everlasting memories thanks to our amazing guide Duc. Definitely worth the money - this tour was actually the cheapest one I found but ended up being the best. Finished the day with a cooking class and delicious authentic vietnamese food. Local people that we have met along the way were all lovely and welcoming.

This is a great tour! It had a little of everything. The bike ride is very easy. The boat ride was a blast. Making pancakes was fun. I also enjoyed interacting with the water buffalo and learning more about farming!

Our tour with Mr. Cu and the Hoi A Village Experience was nothing short of incredible. This one-of-a-kind adventure offered us an intimate and immersive glimpse into rural Vietnamese life — and quickly became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Vietnam. The day began with a scenic bike ride through the charming countryside of Hoi An, where we were warmly welcomed into a nearby village. There, we were introduced to a gentle, majestic water buffalo — an unforgettable encounter that offered insight into the essential role these animals play in traditional Vietnamese farming. Then came a truly hands-on experience: stepping into the rice paddies to try planting rice ourselves! It was muddy, fun, and eye-opening — a deeply humbling way to connect with the land and appreciate the labor behind every grain of rice. Next, we climbed aboard a round basket boat with an energetic local fisherman who gave a fun and lively demonstration of his trade. While the activity was a bit staged for visitors, it was still very entertaining and added a lighthearted touch to the day. The experience continued with a cooking session rooted in tradition, starting with the process of making fresh rice milk from scratch. Under Mr. Cu’s kind and expert guidance, we then prepared and enjoyed a delicious Vietnamese rice pancake. It was simple, flavorful, and deeply satisfying — especially knowing we had helped make it! What sets this tour apart is how genuine much of it feels. While a few elements are tailored for tourists, the overall experience is rich, meaningful, and offers a real connection to local culture and tradition. Mr. Cu’s warmth, humor, storytelling, and passion for sharing his heritage made the day feel like more than just a tour — it felt like an invitation into his way of life. If you’re looking for a deeper, more personal experience in Vietnam — one that goes beyond the typical sights — this tour is a must. Thank you, Mr. Cu, for your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful world with us!
