We took our two kids on the tour, 6 and 7 years old. Dreu was our tour guide. He was so informative and super entertaining. It is a LONG day but my kids were engaged the whole time! We signed up for this tour to take my 6 year old to see an active volcano. The tour did not disappoint. Although we didn’t see lava, it was in between episodes, we got to walk through the lava tube, feel the heat from the heat vents, see the crater where the lava comes out when it is in an episode and we got to play and climb in a lava flow field. The coffee farm and the black sand beach was really cool. We did get to see a couple of sea turtles basking on the beach in the rain. The weather didn’t cooperate for the stargazing part but as we were driving back to the hotels, the sky opened up and we pulled over and saw the most beautiful and spectacular stars. It was a magical ten minutes as the clouds did not stay away for long and the stars were not visible the rest of the night. If you’re looking for a fun and adventurous day, THIS IS IT! We will talk about this tour for the next twenty years!

Our tour guide Dreu did an amazing job guiding us through the tour stops. He is very knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable despite of the rainy weather.

This was a long but lovely day that hit a lot of major highlights of the island. Our tour guide Derek was very knowledgeable and took great care of our group. He took beautiful family photos for us at many of the best viewpoints. This was a great way to see a lot of the island without having to drive ourselves. The dinner at Lava Rock was enjoyable for everyone in our family. We had a wonderful day even though it rained quite a lot.

This tour was amazing. I was looking for a tour of the volcanoes that picked from my hotel and booked this one. Had no idea what I was getting myself into. But from the moment Dreau picked us up it was an amazing time. Bay view farms was great, learned a lot about the history of the agriculture in Hawaii, tasted some delicious coffee and had a great lunch! We then drove and saw some amazing views and were treated to wonderful stories of the area, I think the music he was playing was perfectly cued for each leg of the trip. Stopped at the southernmost bakery of the USA and it was quite a treat! Stoped at the black sand beach and saw 11 green turtles basking (Dreau said it was just two) so we all settled on 9. Then off to the volcano, yes it was foggy but could still see a lot, no there wasn’t any lava but still really amazing. The local recent experienced knowledge of Dreau and the historical knowledge was amazing. He made us all feel totally welcome and kept us completely entertained the whole time. Unfortunately it was raining so did not get a great stargazing trip, but the sky cleared a little and we got a quick tour of the sky before the clouds overtook us again. 100%worth every penny and still can’t stop talking about it!!!

We saw turtles, a bakery, flowers, the ocean, a black sand beach, a coffee farm, volcanos national Park and beautiful stars! This tour is definitely worth it! Mahalo for the best day! It was a long day and unfortunately the volcano was not spouting and it was cloudy so the stars were not shining. In spite of that had a great time and learned so much of the Big Island and its history. Aaron was a great guide and more than made up for the above disappointments. Thanks to Aaron for a great day.
