In this groundbreaking day trip, you will get to taste the best of the west of Ireland in just a few hours. Sample south Connemara, explore Inis Oirr (the smallest of the Aran Islands), and take a cruise under the Cliffs of Moher. Coming back onto the mainland, we take in arguably the finest coastal drive in Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way back up to Galway, along with a couple of various other short stops during the day.
What makes this day trip truly unique is that it is a looped route, so you are experiencing a completely different region of the West of Ireland in every hour that passes. You won’t see the same thing twice!

5.00I had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour and cannot recommend it enough. We started early, which was worth every minute, the full nine-hour experience was packed with incredible moments from start to finish. A few practical tips for future travelers: bring cash!! The Aran Islands can have limited power and connectivity, and on the day of my visit, there was an outage that left card payments completely unavailable. Fortunately, my tour guide Kenny stepped in and generously covered my lunch when I found myself without cash. a kindness I won’t forget. Speaking of Kenny, he was truly exceptional tour guide. From the very beginning of the drive, he wove together a rich history of Ireland, seamlessly blending his personal experience and deep cultural knowledge into the narrative in a way that felt genuine and engaging, not rehearsed. I learned so much and found myself completely captivated throughout. I traveled solo, and Kenny made sure I never felt lost or overlooked. He kept a watchful eye on me and another solo traveler in the group, especially on the boat, which can be quite rocky and is known to cause motion sickness. His attentiveness made the whole experience feel safe and personal. Kenny, if you ever read this, thank you so much! I’m so sorry I couldn’t tip you in person, and I’m even more grateful that you covered my lunch without hesitation. You made this trip unforgettable. Ten out of ten, without question

5.00Richie was our guide and we couldn’t have asked for better! He was a great driver, knowledgeable of all the things we were seeing, and made it very clear if we needed anything he’d help get it sorted. His tour was easy going and on time through out our long day from drive, to ferry, to exploring and everything in repeat on the return. It’s a long day and he had the same kind and professional attitude the whole time. I’d highly recommend the Cliffs of Moher Cruise + Aran Islands tour. We got lucky and had beautiful weather- sunshine all day. The Cliffs were stunning, though the waves are a bit choppy near the cliffs so it’s not the easiest to take photos and the ferry decks are crowded as you’d expect. It was still a great experience. The Aran islands are gorgeous! We went to Inis Orr. There’s a shipwreck you can see, places to eat, fudge, a beach, and horses/buggies. We did the horses and it was nice. Richie ran into us coming back from the church/castle and gave us all the highlights so we still earned some historical facts. 10/10

5.00Kenny was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide! We learned a lot about Ireland’s history and culture that provided great context for all the sites we visited. We really enjoyed our small group and met some very nice people. Kenny was a true professional making sure everyone was taken care of. I would highly recommend Lally Tours and Kenny!

5.00We took the day tour from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands with Richie! We were picked up outside of our hotel in Salthill and joined the rest of the travelers waiting for their tours. Richie was so informative and gave us a lot of education about Ireland, Galway, and what we were seeing to and from the drive to Doolin. He was accommodating for restroom stops as well. When we got to the Aran islands, he did multiple walking tours with small groups so we could eat when we were hungry. Richie told us where to sit on the cliffs on Moher tour to get the best views, and they were great on a very rainy, windy, and cold day. Would highly recommend!

5.00The bus picked up our small (20ish) size group in a reasonably sized bus at a convenient location in Galway at 9am. Our tour guide, Sorcha, was engaging, friendly and very knowledgeable of the area and its history. Sorcha stopped at some fantastic picturesque places along the route and gave us clear instructions for boarding the ferry and touring Inisheer. The tour was manageable for people with limited mobility or strollers. We had several stops with access to food, drinks and restrooms along the way. The boat tour of the cliffs of Moher was incredible, excellent and impressive views. Pro tip: everyone on the boat will crowd the top deck and the port (left) side of the boat as it drives out to the cliffs. The tour of the cliffs doesn’t start until the boat slows and turns around 180, so be patient and setup on the starboard (right) side of the boat for perfect views. Don’t get frustrated and try to fight the crowd, relax and hang out for the great views. There are several ways to tour Inisheer: walking around (slowest), horse drawn carriage (not much faster), rent bikes (a little faster), or van with a small group and guide (fastest).

5.00This was an incredible experience, top to bottom. Sean was an excellent tour guide, taking care to show us all the interesting spots and vantage points, even as far as helping us find a better place to stand on the ferry boat to get the best view. We got lucky and saw dolphins swimming alongside the boat by the cliffs. Sean took a little video of us, watching the dolphins and timed it so they breached the water right as he panned the camera, it was as if he and the dolphins had a deal. Above and beyond! Sean had local connections and got us a horse and buggy tour of the island (secured ahead of time with a call from Sean). After the tour he recommended a bunch of cool places to eat and drink around Galway and all of Ireland. I now have an itinerary for this trip and the next! Such a cool guy. Such a great tour. Best day ever. (Also: try the chowder at the little cafe on the island. As a new englander, I strongly approve of this fish chowder with dill, brilliant.)
