What To Expect
Vienna
Your tour will start with an early pickup in central Vienna once you meet your driver/guide. After, you will travel to Melk through the UNESCO-listed Wachau valley while your driver helps you learn about this popular, touristic area.
Melk
Your first stop will be the famous city of Melk. Take this time to have breakfast, explore the city or simply relax from your trip. While the abbey overlooking the city is Melk's most popular attraction, the city itself has much to offer. Follow the Wiener Straße for a short while to the charming main square, the Rathausplatz which contains the Old Town core. Your tour will continue through the UNESCO-listed Salzkammergut region after the short stop.

1.00I would not recommend this tour, you are paying to be driven there and back and that’s it, no guide or information. Our driver was excellent, very safe and focussed, unlike some other tour drivers we had on different tours. We were expecting a guided, informative tour once we got to Salzburg however that was not the case. In fact, emails were sent days prior to thr tour operator seeking further information about the option of an informative tour guide, however we did not receive a reply. Once in Salzburg, we were dropped off on a local street and left to our own devices, relying on Google maps to navigate historic locations and a lunch location. Travel doesn’t always go according to plan however we expected some kind of a guided tour to explain the historical significance about this beautiful city. To our drivers credit, he called his ‘boss’ to ask how to arrange an English speaking guide but was told we need to get a map and walk around. Salzburg is probably best seen by a short stay so you have the opportunity to explore more, a day trip from Vienna did not do justice since we spent over six hours driving. Make sure you read the fine print and enquire if a tour guide is provided for tours. We booked a tour to Bratislava and a wonderful guide (thank you Eva) provide a wonderful overview and a lot of historical details. All in all, our trip to Salzburg was a very expensive lunch and day out. I would not recommend this tour.

5.00Got the chance to upgraded (additional cost) to a private tour to Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg. The travel agent and tour guide both very proactively to communicate via whatsapp once received my booking and provided a clear tour itinerary and pick up details. My tour guide - Luka is very professional as he arrived on time and explained the cities background and also guided me how to explore the cities, you can always message him if you need extra or shorten the sightseeing time which is very flexible for me. Most importantly I had a safe ride on a snowy day (it was not easy to drive a long hours during this weather situation) but Luka was so focus and patient. I really appreciate it! Highly recommend to join this tour.

5.00There are no words to describe this trip! Our driver picked us up from our apartment, we had a stop off on the way to Salzburg which was much appreciated, and Salzburg was just stunning!! When our driver picked us back up he took us to two stops which were not part of the tour but were absolutely stunning as well!! We truly saw so much of Austria on this tour and would do it all again in a flash!!

1.00You are better off just doing it on your own. It's a 6 peraon car and they fit 8 peopl . 6 people sat comfortably at the back and I had no space for my foot. So if you are picked up last, you are out of luck! The guide at Salzburg was not good either.
