Starting Jan 1st, 2026, the tour supplier is required by law to confirm US or Non-US citizenship which will determine if an additional entry fee is required. For non-US citizens, the tour supplier must collect an additional $100 per person, payable in advance to the tour supplier.
There is NOT a restroom on the van. Comfort stops are made throughout the day.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
Arizona state law requires children under 8 years to have either a child seat or booster. Child seats are not provided, please bring your own and notify supplier
Minimum age is 3 years and guest must inform supplier they will provide car seats or boosters.
Wheelchairs and walkers are acceptable as long as they fold up and can be slid into the vehicle. You must let the supplier know if you are bringing either.
We do not guarantee pickup for all hotels. Even if your hotel is on the list, there may be a chance you'll need to meet at an alternate location. Any guest staying outside of Phoenix, Scottsdale or Tempe will be required to meet at an alternate location to be determined by supplier. Tour supplier contact details will be provided on your pre-paid voucher.
Supplier is not responsible for road or viewing conditions due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
You must let the supplier know if there are any mobility concerns that they should be aware of.
FOR LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: Any tours booked after 7:00PM Arizona time the night before the tour date might not be confirmed. You will likely have to meet at another hotel for pick up. Our office will contact you prior to 6:00am on the tour date.
The Grand Canyon South Rim is a 7,000 foot elevation, please note this if you have concerns about elevation.

What To Expect
Grand Canyon South Rim
Enjoy approximately 3 hours inside Grand Canyon National Park! Part of your time is guided and part of your time is on your own. Stroll the rim for endless viewpoints and gaze upon the deepest and widest part of the entire Grand Canyon! The drive to Grand Canyon from the Phoenix area is roughly 4 hours with a few comfort stops along the way.

5.00Hyun picked us up at exactly 6:25am in front of our pickup location. He was friendly and gave input all along the 3-hour ride to Phoenix - there were 2 rest stops included. He dropped us off and gave a few tidbits on where to go and when to beat the crowd. He also did his "Grand Reveal" which was delightful. Enjoyed the trip. There was a 40-minute waiting period to get in the Grand Canyon but that was due to it being peak season and Spring Break. Returned to see Uptown Sedona and take photos at a rest stop. Excellent driver. Great trip.

5.00Detour driver Jay is an excellent tour guide. He communicates well, is knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and is a good driver. Despite being a long day from Phoenix, it is well worth it .

5.00Great tour, the guide was very informative and made accommodations as needed for those who had mobility challenges. Allowed for our family members to visit the grand canyon in 1 day and see incredible sites without the need to drive ourselves.
Wonderful tour (even for elementary kids)

5.00We took a family group (including three elementary-age kids) on this tour. It is a big day, but it’s a wonderful experience. Our guide, Diane, was fantastic with the kids. The drive to the Grand Canyon included a stop in Sedona for great photos and a stop at a grocery store in Flagstaff so we could pick up lunch items (deli sandwiches, etc) to eat in the van. We drove through Oak Creek Canyon and the Navajo Reservation. We made several planned bathroom stops (great for the kids!). The entire way there, Diane was telling us great facts, stories and jokes about what we were seeing, history of the state, info about plants and geology, etc. Once we arrived at the Grand Canyon, we made multiple stops to see the canyon from different view points. At each of these, you could stay with Diane and she’d continue to point out and explain what you were seeing or go on your own. (Diane even spotted elk droppings to point out to the kids.) She also took great photos - including (very safe) pictures that made it look like the kids were crawling out of the canyon and let us know where we could get our National Park passport book stamped. This was a fantastic tour and a lot of great memories were made.

3.00The canyon is beautiful!! Didn’t like that we spent time in Sedona and taking time to take people to ride the helicopter. Took away from seeing the canyon which is the only activity I signed up for.
Great way to spend the day and see the Awe of Nature.

5.00This was a wonderful and easy tour to enjoy with the family. It made it so convenient to get picked up by the beautiful little tour bus. Not having to fight traffic on your own or worry about the little things. The tour guide provided some great stories and had wonderful interactions with the kids.

5.00I had a wonderful time exploring the Grand Canyon and hearing all about the history. Diane was an amazing conductor. I highly recommend the tour to anyone looking to see these wonder. Also plenty of stops along the way and lots of food options at park as well.
