What To Expect
7.5 km of walking and 500m of elevation gain. One of the most magical experiences you can try during a holiday in Rhodes is to admire the sunset from above and this excursion aims to make it happen. Starting from the village of Salakos, you go along an ancient mule track that leads to a garden that once belonged to De Vecchi who had a villa built in Profitis Ilias, today in a complete state of "abandonment". Passing through the garden, continue towards the two Tyrolean-style hotels and continue towards the mountain peak. From here the view that is proposed to you is truly breathtaking. Descending from the mountain, you pass the majestic villa and its chapel and return to Salakos. The whole route is immersed in a dense forest of cypresses and Aleppo pines which offer shade and shelter from the sun on the hottest days.

5.00Fantastic experience with amazing guide, she told us she had the best job in the world and it shows in her passion for hiking, knowledge and friendliness, we can not fault our guide Manuela, do not come to Rhodes and miss out on one of these hikes especially a sunset one, what price do you put on a sunset view we shared on the mountain?, only one answer, priceless!

5.00Wow - truly amazing hiking this sunset trekking through rich scenery and wonderful views! Our very professional trekking guide Manuela was AMAZING and we got so much value thorough the history of Rhodes as well about the various trekking! The panoramic view on top the mountain was amazing and also the Greek snack! When trekking downhill in pitch black night we could enjoy the stars & the Moon ! What a beautiful memory and lovely trekking company in this small group. I can highly recommend! Thank you Hining Rhodes.

We enjoy the sunset and We went back to Salakos after that whit the faceplates, a unique experience ! If you ll go on holiday to Rhodes, you can’t miss this hike !

5.00It was AMAZING! I didn't expect to find such a landscape on the island, the historical information were also very interesting. The path was steep at the beginning and more smooth along the way. The sunset at the end of the tour was magical. I highly recommend this tour 😊
