Take a full-day tour of the highlights of the Northeast Coast including Yehliu Geopark, Golden Waterfall, Jiufen Old Street, Shifen Waterfall and Shifen Old Street. A shared tour operated in a small-group of no more than 8 people and includes round-trip transportation from your accommodation in Taipei City.(It doesn't include guided tour,the vehicle type assigned for this tour will be arranged based on the number of participants on the day. For groups of 4 people or fewer, a 5-seater vehicle will be arranged. For groups of 5-8 people , a 9-seater vehicle will be arranged. Specific vehicle types cannot be requested.)

What To Expect
YehLiu Geopark
Yehliu Geological Park (野柳地質公園) resides within a cape 1.7km long and is home to some of the most famous eroded rock formations in the world.
Golden Waterfall
Golden Waterfall is located near the Gold Ecological Park (黃金博物園區) in Jinguashi. Although real gold flowing from these falls would be too good to be true, the water is certainly a beautiful gold color as a result of the combination of regular rainfall in this mining area and the abundance of heavy metal elements deposited in the riverbed.

English-Speaking Driver
Our driver speaks fluent English and will tell the stories behind the attractions on the vehicle. He/she will not walk with the travelers.
Mandarin-Speaking Driver
The driver who only speaks Mandarin will offer a brief introduction on the van/bus during the tour. Driver/guide will not follow travelers to walk around.

3.00To be clear, this is not a tour, it’s a shared taxi ride and they drop you at locations and you will navigate your self. Our driver didn’t speak good English.

4.00We had an interesting tour. Much seen, exciting country. Our tour with 4 people, we and 2 Chinese women from Australia were carried by taxi driver James in his somewhat unclean taxi. All points on the tour were safely approached and the entrances to the spots were shown. But that was all the so-called "fluently English speaking" tour guide did. Conversation was not possible, especially as it was easier for him to talk to the Chinese women..... a pity, because we have heard from other tour guides who have led this tour english and have told a lot about the country and people. We were so sadly denied that. TOO BAD! ..but we hope that our wishes that we sent with the lantern will come true.!!.

1.00We signed up and paid 3X the price of a tour with a Mandarin driver and guide for a tour with an English speaking driver and guide. The driver did not speak English. We requested a refund of the difference between the cost of the two tour options and Viator rejected the request. So, there is no option for an English speaking driver and guide; sign up for the Mandarin speaking driver and guide to save money, or use another company that does not misrepresent its tour service.

5.00This is a great trip! It included more activities than expected! We visited the Geopark (absolutely stunning!) early to avoid the crowds, then made a wonderful little hike in the mountains in a beautiful surrounding (our guide even packed walking sticks for us!), went to the Shifen waterfall, got invited to a bubble tea by our perfect guide Martin, went to the sky lantern place, had a really good lunch in a food court, saw the golden waterfall and ended up in Jiufen (what we personally didn’t like so much as it was overcrowded, but Martin found a secret escape way for us!). We had the best driver and tour guide ever! Martin picked us up at the hotel and then a second couple as well. His car is very comfortable and clean and brand new. He provided water for us and even had some Chinese medicine for the throat of my husband! He was driving smoothly and always found a parking space nearby. Additionally we had perfect weather, sunshine all day. I highly recommend to do this tour with Martin!
