As some of the most experienced guides, the guides analyze weather predictions prior to every tour and have close contact with a network of guides for the highest chances to see the Northern Lights. The comfortable vehicle with 4x4 drive is fully equipped with everything you may need in the arctic, allowing you to discover remote scenery, reaching the more calm and peaceful places. Pick up is at a central location in Tromsø, allowing more time for finding, and seeing the Aurora earlier! With no two nights the same, the enthusiasm and dedication never fades.
Upon reaching suitable skies, we will set up camp for the evening. Most of the time this is a shorter drive to the surrounding coastal islands of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.

What To Expect
Tromso Fjords
Our custom built tour van, is fully equipped with everything we may need in the arctic, allowing us to discover remote scenery, reaching the more calm and peaceful places. Sometimes this is a short drive to the surrounding coast of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.

5.00Our tour guide Bogdan took us to a beautiful waterfront location where we were lucky to view spectacular northern lights. We had a truly magical time by a campfire, kept warm in our snow suits sipping hot soup and hot chocolate. All while enjoying breathtaking light show in the sky!! Borden also shared his gorgeous pictures he took during our trip. Thanks Bogden for the magical experience!!

5.00We had a truly wonderful experience touring with Fede from Northern Soul Adventures. Fede searched for the best spot to observe the lights, even though it meant driving for several hours to get there. We were deeply impressed by his ability to explain the aurora hunting indices so clearly, what they mean and how to interpret them. It felt like a fascinating masterclass on the Northern Lights, and having it in both English and Spanish was a fantastic plus for Spanish-speaking travelers. Thanks to the spot he chose, we witnessed high-intensity auroras and captured incredible photos. Being in a small group of just 8 people allowed us to fully connect with the experience and enjoy the show in peace. Without a doubt, if you are going to Tromsø to hunt for auroras, Fede’s tour with Northern Soul Adventures is incredible! Thank you so much Fede and Northern Sould Adventures!

5.00WOW! We loved our time with Federico! He was so passionate and took the time to thoroughly teach us all about the northern lights! It was raining in Tromso, but he went above and beyond and drove us almost to the Finnish border to find us a spot to see the northern lights. He took so much care in finding us the best spots and chances to see the northern lights- and he gave his all in helping us take pictures with our devices, he also took so many for us and of us with his professional camera.! The organization was also good and thoughtful, one of us has a decent amount of allergies- so they took care to make alternative soup and cookies for her! It was delicious! All in all, we had the most amazing time, and we truly recommend everyone to go on a northern lights hunt with Federico if you have the chance!

5.00What an amazing experience chasing the Northern lights. The weather was very challenging, heavy rain and windy. Our expert Guide Tomas took us to a location by the coast approximately 1hr and a half from Tromsø. Still raining, then the sky began to clear. A few stars appeared and then most of the sky cleared . We waited to see if Lady Aurora would show, while we enjoyed hot soup and cookies around the campfire. And Wow the whole sky was dancing! Absolutely amazing show (colours to the naked eye pale green and white) Thank you to Tomas and Ana for a well organised, informative and professional trip.

5.00We were hopeful but had low expectations of seeing the northern lights due to snow and heavy cloud cover. However, Northern Soul Adventures really know their stuff. They do their research, tracking conditions and adapting the plan to find the best location for that evening. We drove all the way to Finland to see the lights and had some brilliant photos taken by our guide and photographer, Bogdan. It was freezing but we were given hand warmers and shoe warmers which really helped, and had the option of a thermosuit if needed. We then enjoyed a delicious soup and hot drinks around a very warm camp fire while we learnt more about the aurora. On our drive back, an even more spectacular northern lights display started and Bogdan quickly pulled over on the side of the road so we could get out to witness the stunning display and take more incredible photos! It was a late finish but well worth it. Highly recommend!

5.00Great great tour! Our guide Bogdan was really professional, drove to different spots to try and find a good place to settle and watch the lights. We actually went for 2 different tours, and I must say Bogdan’s photo taking skills are really 💯 compared to the other tour. Enjoyed the tomato soup, hot drinks and heat packs provided. Highly recommend!

5.00It was an amazing experience chasing the Northern Lights with Bogdan. He is very knowledgeable, positive, and always willing to help. He not only took great photos for us but also taught us how to capture Aurora pictures so we could enjoy it ourselves. We learned a lot from him. The campfire time was wonderful; with a small group, everyone talked and shared their thoughts openly. It felt like we were on a real adventure together. After long hours of observation, hand and toe warmers were provided. The soup, hot chocolate, and biscuits were all delicious and served right when we needed them most. I give this experience a 10/10 and would definitely recommend it!"
