Start walking from Dogo Onsen Station and visit some famous spots for good fortune.
While leisurely walking, think of a memorable word you like that will be made into an original Sake label later.
How about a word related to Matsuyama such as Dogo, Shikoku, or Henro (pilgrimage) ? Or, it might be interesting to write your name in Chinese characters with the assistance of an English-speaking local guide.
The word will be used to make an original Sake label at the Minakuchi Shuzo brewery, the only Sake brewery in Dogo. You can also enjoy tasting various Sake samples available for purchase in the store.

Miwa was a fun tour guide. Her explanations were interesting and her pictures added to the tour. She was very cognizant of my wife and the heat of the day. She would ask which routes we would like to walk around the city, and recommended which based on how strenuous it could be. Loved the sake tour with labeling, she helped translate the staff’s explanation on different sake tastes. We went over the tour end time but well worth it!

My guide was very sweet and we had great conversation! She took me to all the important sights around the Dogo Onsen and provided a lot of important history that explains the significance of the Onsen! The sake tasting at the end was an amazing way to end the tour! Some of the best sake I’ve had and I learned a lot from this brewery. The brewery provided great service and I left with the cutest bottle of sake along with two other bottles as a great reminder of my time here! Highly recommend this if you’ll be spending any time in Matsuyama. Also If you’re planning on visiting the Onsen! Do this tour first!!! The guide will help you understand how the onsen works and can give you tips to make the most of your visit.
