Skanderbeg Square
The tour begins at Skanderbeg Square, the central hub of Tirana. Here, your guide will provide an introduction to Albania’s history and culture, offering a general overview of the country and explaining the significance of this iconic square. National Historical Museum (exterior visit) During our walk through Skanderbeg Square, we stop in front of the National Historical Museum to admire its impressive facade. The guide will explain the meaning of the large mosaic called “The Albanians”, a powerful artwork symbolizing the country’s history and unity. We do not enter the museum, but this stop offers great insight into Albania’s past through its most iconic mural.

5.00Absolutely fantastic few hours with Stevi. I'd never been to Albania before but even though I had done some research there's no way I'd have come away from Tirana with so much education. I had originally booked for a 1430 start but Stevi contacted me via WhatsApp, told me where to meet him which was actually where I already was. He suggested we start early and I was more than happy with that. As well as imparting a lot of history of the Balkan region in general he also recommended a local restaurant where traditional Albanian food was served which I visited and had a fantastic meal. Overall it was unbelievable value for money and if you are new to Tirana I can thoroughly recommend you try to book with Stevi.
