Our experience is really special because of the ecosystem of the lagoon. It is very common to come across manatees that feed on seagrass and that live in harmony with so many other marine species that live there. The lagoon is an important natural reserve that is protected for study and conservation as it is part of the San Juan Bay estuary. It also has a community of natural and artificial reefs that make the experience even richer. The flora, the mangroves, the landscape and how the species live in their natural ecosystem is an experience added to the sport to be performed in the lagoon. These conservation efforts seek to educate and increase knowledge for their conservation and the enjoyment of these beauties. The best thing is that it is centrally located at the entrance to San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico and the historic center that is the largest tourist attraction on the island.

4.00While it seemed like a better idea than a boat-based snorkeling trip for my often motion sick family, this was a tough excursion. Do not recommend for anyone who is not a strong swimmer, as the waves and tides coming off the ocean make for a challenging swim.

1.00Very sad. Was really looking forward to the tour. There seemed to be confusion regarding the equipment at first. Asked for half mask and was handed one without a breathing tube and was told they didn’t have a tube. My husband then spotted one and fixed it to my mask. Finally started making our way into the water and were quickly left behind. We were swimming with children who started panicking at being so far behind. This would have been fine if there was warning that this was a bit more of a fast paced swim so drop out if you can’t hang. I would have not paid and moved on. Two out of five of my family stayed. Only later did our guide realize that some of us didn’t make it. I keep wondering where the “tour” part of the guided tour was. I understand that some friends of ours went on this tour with different guides a year ago and had a great time. I wasted a bit of money today and had some sad children.

5.00We had a great time! Justin was excellent and kept telling us we could stop and turn around at any point. Surprisingly my nieces (11 & 16) kept wanting to go further. This was definitely more of a swim workout rather than a leisurely snorkel off a boat lol but we all enjoyed, the fish were beautiful and it was definitely a great experience

5.00Justin was the perfect tour guide! We had an 8 and 10 year old with us and he was very attentive to our needs. He made sure we all felt comfortable and confident before we ventured out and he was very knowledgeable about the area and the sea life. I was able to make priceless memories with my family and I would highly recommend this experience!
