Can you imagine swimming with the biggest fish in the WORLD, the whale shark.

Swim alongside these docile animals on this adventure on Holbox Island.

We will go into the sea for an hour to try to locate this harmless friend and be able to swim with him (snorkel).

Along the way it is very likely to see dolphins and turtles as well as the imposing giant manta ray.

Later we will go to another natural reserve called Cabo Catoche, which is located at the end of our beautiful island where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea divide to be able to do a second snorkel on a reef.

Where with a bit of luck we can appreciate the manta rays, turtles, cat shark, sea horses, starfish, fish of many colors among other marine species.

What To Expect

Holbox Island

This wonderful excursion starts early in the morning. The tour is by speedboat to Cabo Catoche, an area in the Gulf of Mexico that joins the Caribbean Sea. Here you can swim with what is considered the largest fish in the world Taking advantage of the morning we will go in search of the whale shark (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes) If we find him we will have the opportunity to swim with him on 2 occasions, in the company of one of our certified guides. With luck we will also be able to observe giant manta rays and turtles along the way. Note: the tour is a whale shark search it is not 100% the sighting but our local guides and captains will do their best

Later we go to another Cabocatoche nature reserve, where we will do another snorkel if we are lucky we will be able to observe turtles, cat sharks, manta rays, sea horses and many species of fish.

Had an awful experience with them. They canceled our reservations the night before due to weather. Come to find out the company went out and it wasn’t the weather..

This was an excellent experience. My wife (68) and I (75) had never went snorkle diving before but diving with whale sharks was on our bucket list. Weather and water conditions cooperated and the captain found the whale sharks feeding exactly where they expected. We had 3 turns in the water with the whale sharks and it was amazing! After the whale shark encounter we moved to a second location and had about 20 minutes to snorkel over a small reef. Plenty of fish, but didn't spot any turtles or nurse sharks that frequent the reef. We cruised into a mangrove area where we saw many birds...egrets, herons, pelicans and a few flamingos. Then food at a secluded beach with bathrooms, tables and a small bar. Well worth the money!!! Alex was our guide and we cannot praise him enough. Besides being a wealth of knowledge he assisted my wife on each dive so she could enjoy the close encounter. Excellent! We cannot forget the captain, he provided an enjoyable boat ride and coordinated extremely well with Alex to get us in position to "chase" the whale sharks. Their boss, Jose, personally assisted with finalizing our booking after a glitch in the system canceled our tour! All around great experience. Highly recommend!
