We will pick you up from your hotel in Kiruna and drive to the starting point of your snowmobile adventure on the frozen Torne River. From here, we’ll head out with a small group — just four snowmobiles and your guide — giving us the freedom to travel further and explore remote corners of Swedish Lapland that few visitors ever see.
Snowmobiles can take us to places inaccessible by any other vehicle. You can choose to drive your own snowmobile or share one with another participant.
We will stop at spectacular location to take photos, and enjoy warm drinks and traditional Swedish snacks.
Swedish Lapland is home to unique Arctic wildlife such as reindeer, moose, foxes, Arctic hares, and owls. Along the way, our guides will keep an eye for animal tracks in the snow and point them out to you — perhaps the distinctive heart‑shaped print of a reindeer, or the wide hoof marks of a moose. Learning to read these signs makes you feel even more connected to the wilderness around you.

5.00Incredible landscapes and adrenaline, a combination that cannot fail. We enjoyed a route through the forest and lake, which were completely frozen. We saw animals and overall it was a unique experience if you are in Kiruna. The guide was super friendly, helped us at all times, and completely adapted to our pace so we could enjoy fully. Thanks!!!

5.00This snowmobile tour with Lights of Vikings was SO good. Honestly, I didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Onur and Cristina, our guides, were fantastic — super friendly and clearly knew their stuff. Before we started, they gave us a really helpful intro on how to drive the snowmobiles and went over all the safety rules, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. And the landscapes?? Unreal. We zoomed over frozen lakes and rivers and through forests where the trees were completely covered in snow. It felt like riding through a postcard. They also hooked us up with all the proper winter gear — thermal suits, boots, gloves, and balaclavas — and thank goodness, because it was properly cold out there. But we stayed warm the whole time. The length of the tour was perfect. I never felt rushed, but I also wasn’t exhausted by the end. Plus, we got a cup of hot lingonberry drink, which was honestly the best thing ever after being out in the snow. Such a fun, beautiful, and well-run experience. Would 100% do it again.

5.00Our snowmobile tour with Lights of Vikings was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the very beginning, everything felt safe, professional, and well organized. Our guides, Onur and Cristina, were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They started with a clear and thorough safety briefing, explaining how to handle the snowmobiles and the rules we needed to follow. It made us feel confident even though it was our first time driving one. The scenery along the route was breathtaking. We rode across frozen rivers and lakes and through snow-covered forests that looked like something out of a winter fairytale. Every stretch of the trail felt different and equally beautiful. They provided excellent Arctic gear — thermal suits, boots, gloves, and balaclavas — which made a huge difference in the intense cold. We were warm and comfortable the entire time. The duration of the tour was just right: long enough to feel like a real adventure, but not so long that we got too tired or cold. To top it off, we stopped for a warm drink of hot lingonberry juice, which tasted amazing in the winter landscape. This tour perfectly combined adventure, safety, comfort, and stunning nature. Highly, highly recommended!

5.00Again and again, I can never fully express how great this company is, especially Mr Onur. The snowmobile experience was amazing. This was not just a “tourist” activity, but a truly authentic and unforgettable adventure. We rode through rivers, across frozen lakes, into the forest and even passed by husky rides along the way. Every moment was exciting. I was so happy, and everyone else was too. Onur took great care of us from start to end. He treated us very well, kind, caring and professional. He explained everything clearly from the beginning, so we never felt lost or missed out on anything. I truly can’t thank Lights of Vikings enough. You made my dream come true, from someone flying across the world, all the way from Singapore from witnessing the Northern Lights to experiencing this incredible snowmobile adventure.
