Joining this subarctic adventure and driving a snowmobile over Europe’s biggest glacier, will be one of the most exciting experiences you will ever participate in.

Along with an exciting adventure, you will also experience an unbelievable view over the glacier.

About halfway through the tour, we’ll stop and you can take pictures and peacefully enjoy the scenery.

Our guides are informative and entertaining and will tell you facts about the area and the glacier.

A valid driver’s license is required to operate the snowmobile.

Participants combined weight on one snowmobile MUST be 180kg / 390lbs or less. If your combined weight exceeds 180kg / 390lbs you need to book single snowmobiles.

The standard version of our snowmobile tour has two persons riding on one snowmobile.

However, if you are travelling solo or in an odd number group 1, 3, 5, etc., you need to book at least one solo rider.

Additional cost for 1 x solo rider is 10.000 ISK - paid at the base camp

What To Expect

You will sit and enjoy while our driver takes you to about 1000 meters up in the mountains where the view over Iceland’s highest peaks will take your breath away, all awhile we are driving on Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe.

A highly recommended tour. It lasts about 3 hours, although with the bike you really are an hour or so (the rest of the time is how long it takes to get to and from the glacier). The guide is very friendly and watches over both safety and your enjoyment. They leave you warm clothes and helmet (and gloves if you also need them)

Incredible time Guides were very knowledgeable and professional. It is a chance to see and do what only a few get to. The views on matched and ride up and down was something else.

We had such an incredible time on our snowmobiling tour in Iceland! Our guide, Mike, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun to ride with. The weather was perfect for the adventure (not totally clear skies, but great visibility and breathtaking views), and Mike made it even more special by stopping so we could watch reindeer on the way up. The whole experience was unforgettable, and we can’t recommend Mike and the team enough. Truly a must-do while visiting this amazing country!

it all starts with the best guide i have ever encountered! the tour started the moment we left the compound.. Stefen replied to any question we had on Iceland, there was nothing he did not know. We felt safe and in good hands. The driving on the snowmobile was fun and worth the price. For desert, we saw a herd of raindwers😊 Amazing day and highly recommended.

Easy, fun, unique experience, great guides. The driving itself is surprisingly not the most important part. Being on top of the clacier, experiencing the views, was amazing.

This was a magical experience. KÁRI Was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable. He entertained us with facts and stories while keeping us safe in a very relaxed manner. His driving on the F Road was exceptional. Highly recommend taking this tour as the Glacier has to be experience this close up!

So much fun on the snow. Really enjoyed the snowmobiles which were very easy to use and lots of fun. Amazing scenery and excellent guides. Even the monster truck ride up to the glacier was enjoyable! Would definitely recommend. I only wish we could have ridden them for longer.

An amazing trip and experience. The snowmobiling was fantastic, lots of time riding with great guides. The ride up to the glacier was also great in the heavily modified 4x4 vehicles. It is a tour in itself. Highly recommended!

The guide is nice, prepared and kind. After a short preparation we leave with the monster truck to get to the slopes of the glacier while the guide tells curiosities and characteristics of the places that can be admired during the journey. The snowmobile ride allows you to admire breathtaking views, from the ocean to the highest peaks that stand on top of the glacier. To do!
