Joining this subarctic adventure and driving a snowmobile over Europe’s biggest glacier, will be one of the most exciting experiences you will ever participate in.
Along with an exciting adventure, you will also experience an unbelievable view over the glacier.
About halfway through the tour, we’ll stop and you can take pictures and peacefully enjoy the scenery.
Our guides are informative and entertaining and will tell you facts about the area and the glacier.
A valid driver’s license is required to operate the snowmobile.
Participants combined weight on one snowmobile MUST be 180kg / 390lbs or less. If your combined weight exceeds 180kg / 390lbs you need to book single snowmobiles.
The standard version of our snowmobile tour has two persons riding on one snowmobile.
However, if you are travelling solo or in an odd number group 1, 3, 5, etc., you need to book at least one solo rider.
Additional cost for 1 x solo rider is 10.000 ISK - paid at the base camp

You will sit and enjoy while our driver takes you to about 1000 meters up in the mountains where the view over Iceland’s highest peaks will take your breath away, all awhile we are driving on Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe.

5.00We had an unforgettable afternoon touring the Vatnajokull glacier on snowmobiles in April. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, as well as a very small group. The tour begins with an exciting drive in a van-style super jeep up into the mountains - which itself is a fun and exciting adventure. The landscape is an entirely different experience from what can be seen from the road or hiking on foot (without some serious trekking). We made our way to the snowmobiles that were parked high up in the mountain, learned how to drive them, and then we were off into one of the most breathtaking landscapes we've ever seen - with plenty of time actually riding the snowmobiles (which is not always the case with tours like this). We rode the snowmobiles to about 1100 meters, taking turns driving as we opted for a single sled for two of us. This was an awe-inspiring tour. Our guide Mike was knowledgeable, professional, experienced and willingly shared his love for Iceland as well as the other-worldly landscape that is Vatnajokull. Glacier tours is a small company, with new well-maintained equipment and gear. If you are considering a snowmobile glacier tour - we 1000% recommend this one!

5.00Otherworldly experience with known around, but our small group in a lunar landscape. Super jeeps up to the snowmobiles were a great start to. an interesting and enjoyable trip into a desolate and different place. Enjoyable tour guide guides, great gear, and a small group. Would highly recommend.

5.00A highly recommended tour. It lasts about 3 hours, although with the bike you really are an hour or so (the rest of the time is how long it takes to get to and from the glacier). The guide is very friendly and watches over both safety and your enjoyment. They leave you warm clothes and helmet (and gloves if you also need them)

5.00We had such an incredible time on our snowmobiling tour in Iceland! Our guide, Mike, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun to ride with. The weather was perfect for the adventure (not totally clear skies, but great visibility and breathtaking views), and Mike made it even more special by stopping so we could watch reindeer on the way up. The whole experience was unforgettable, and we can’t recommend Mike and the team enough. Truly a must-do while visiting this amazing country!

5.00it all starts with the best guide i have ever encountered! the tour started the moment we left the compound.. Stefen replied to any question we had on Iceland, there was nothing he did not know. We felt safe and in good hands. The driving on the snowmobile was fun and worth the price. For desert, we saw a herd of raindwers😊 Amazing day and highly recommended.

5.00This was a magical experience. KÁRI Was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable. He entertained us with facts and stories while keeping us safe in a very relaxed manner. His driving on the F Road was exceptional. Highly recommend taking this tour as the Glacier has to be experience this close up!

5.00So much fun on the snow. Really enjoyed the snowmobiles which were very easy to use and lots of fun. Amazing scenery and excellent guides. Even the monster truck ride up to the glacier was enjoyable! Would definitely recommend. I only wish we could have ridden them for longer.
