Private half day guided Snowshoe or Cross Country Ski tours offers a fantastic introduction to Glacier National Park with a comfortable winter ambiance. Get a little bit of exercise in while exploring and learning about the parks history, winter flora and fauna, Native history, and everything in between. Our guides are knowledgable, professional and local. We are passionate about sharing our love of Whitefish and West Glacier, Montana with our guests.
Choose either Snowshoeing OR Cross Country Skiing. We aren't able to keep the group together offering both in one tour.

What To Expect
Lake McDonald
Enjoy a stop at the historic Lake McDonald Lodge. Explore the area around the shoreline, watch for wildlife, and learn about the history of the Lodge, area, and park.
Apgar Visitor Center
Our 3rd and final stop occurs at Apgar Village at the south end of Lake McDonald. Take photos of the crystal clear water and learn about the early settlers and native tribes.

5.00Gorgeous experience! We really enjoyed the snowshoeing. We had never snowshoed before and are now ready to go again. Our guide was Lincoln and he was excellent. We stopped for pictures at various points of interest and had a fabulous lunch in Hungry Horse. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone who is even slightly adventurous.

5.00This experience was fantastic! May was our guide and she was wonderful and made our day trip one to remember. She was so knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the area, the dam, and Glacier National Park. She truly personalized the trip and we have told so many people already about this tour. I look forward to going back in the spring or summer and booking another trip through Whitefish Outfitters and asking for May. Also, I needed to call Customer Service a few times to ask a few questions and the girl who answered each time could not have been any more pleasant or helpful than she was. Top notch company, employees, and guides for sure!!!

5.00LINCOLN was an amazing guide. He personalized our experience and was more than happy to take lots of pics at our request. His knowledge of the area was bountiful and extremely interesting. He did not rush us and made it clear that we set the pace of our extraordinary experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat and would definitely request LINCOLN.

5.00Lori was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgable, friendly and took great care of us. We had a group of us on a snowshoe tour - many first timers. She made it enjoyable regardless of experience level and taught us so much about the area along the way. I would highly recommend her and whitish outfitters!

5.00Gabe took us and two of our adult children snowshoeing in Glacier National Park- it was perfectly delightful! He had options for steeper and longer trails, but we were tired from skiing and just wanted a fun trek. Gabe picked us up on time in a nice clean suburban - and didn’t mind when I wasn’t ready. He had healthy (and otherwise) snacks for all and bottles of water and cans of LeCroix too. After the trek he had hot chocolate and hot cider for the drive home. Gabe said he’d take longer, scenic route to the park - we stopped and saw several bald eagles just off the road. They were magnificent, especially with mountain views in the distance. He has amazing knowledge of the history of this area and made the trip so interesting. Snowshoeing for our first time was a great adventure - along the River and through the woods. Gabe stopped several places for family pics, which was nice. We all highly recommend Whitefish Outfitters for snowshoeing - or any adventures they offer - we will definitely be back for more!

5.00My husband and I did the full day snowshoe tour. Our guide Brandon gave us an unforgettable day. We stopped on the way to the park and had the chance to view some bald eagles. While in the park he was very informative about the types of trees in the area as well as the local wildlife. It was our first time snowshoeing and I think we went about five miles although we were having such a great time it didn’t feel that long at all. As first timers in this park we got to see a lot of the area that’s accessible during the winter months and felt completely safe doing so. Would highly recommend this tour.
