Our day trip to Panam city, Sonargoan was well organised. We visited an ancient abandoned settlement of wealthy Hindu merchants. The street was lined with beautiful red bricks colonial mansions with great architecture, arch facades, a great place for photography. We were lucky to have Normaan, a knowledgeable & helpful guide. On the way back to Dhaka, we had a boat ride to a riverside village where we visited a local fish market & met many friendly local residents, a great experience.

It was a really good experience exploring parts of Bangladesh that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great local insight throughout the day. Sonargaon and Panam City were fascinating, and the riverside village added a nice cultural touch. Overall, a well-organized, informative tour that gave me a deeper appreciation of the country. Hassan

Excellent tour and an authentic, interesting and fast paced tour out of Dhaka into a touch of nature, history and culture. Maya Island provided a close look into village life on the other side of the river which makes one want to explore Bangladesh further, while Panam City is a photograhper's paradise. The arts and crafts museum complex provided a wide spectrum allowing to get a good idea of the impact of different periods on art and styles. Topped off with a local lunch and a trusted driver, this trip is highly recommended for those with a desire to venture out of the big city while having limited time! Nooman was a phenomenal guide - not only knowledgeable and professional, but also kind, thoughtful and providing an intricate perspective on modern Bangladesh. An extra plus was Nooman's great eye for photograpgy and aesthetics. Even though the tour was conducted in turbulent regional Times, safety was ensured and the experience was highly recommended.

Great tour. So interesting to see the history of Panam City and how the people of Mayadwip Riverside Village live. All the locals we met on our tour were so friendly. Shamrat was great guide, he took very good care of us and was knowledgeable in explaining all the points of interest to us. A delicious Biriyani lunch as well.

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Tuhin, my initial contact, was instantly responsive, offered several different tour options, and was totally open to my ideas. When I had to make a last minute adjustment he was gracious and accommodating. Tanvir, my guide, was terrific! So knowledgeable, personable, fun, and willing to share his experiences as a local. The itinerary was great and I loved that the company brings a small tree to plant every time they visit the village. The company seems so heartfelt yet professional. I would wholeheartedly recommend a tour—you will be so glad you went.

A very good trip if you want to escape the hectic of Dhaka. Tanvir was a very knowledgeable guide who told a lot about the history. Visit to Maya island was very nice to get an insight in rural life. Thanks to a little boy who shows us around.

Panam City is a street with 52 houses of British Mughal architecture, giving an excellent impression of how wealthy Hindu traders lived at the time. The centerpiece is the perfectly restored landlord's residence. The additional excursion to the nearby Mayadwip peninsula using one of the local boats added an unusual insight into life along the river Meghna. Personally I also enjoyed the safe drive between Panam City and Dhaka, which provided panorama view of Dhaka from the elevated freeway, as well as impressions of Dhaka street life and local villages. The tour was well organbized and safe all the way, and gave me a nice mix of impressions in the one day I had available for a trip.

We covered panam as part of our weeklong tour with insignia tours. This was my first time visiting this place. An abondoned city with old buildings. But what we love mostly is the visit to a riverside village. They took great care of us and the guide was really knowledgable and friendly. Best travel agency in bangladesh. If you ever think of a bangladesh tour then take tour from insignia.
