Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on a San Francisco-style trolley, for an open-air ride through rustic, sun-kissed Sonoma Valley. Stop at 3 different wineries to sip and swirl fine Northern California varietals. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect
Sonoma Valley
Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

5.00Staff everywhere was wonderful! Our driver and the other people on our trolley were fun. Wineries we visited each were a bit different, which was a nice variety. Only negative was the cold weather, but nothing can be done about that.

5.00Great experience. Weather was chilly but we still had a great time. Richard was a great tour guide and explained the history of the wineries. BJ Cohn and Wellington were my favorites. We had plenty of time at each stop and lunch included. The tastings are extra though. Great way to visit multiple wineries without driving.

5.00Paul the trolley driver was excellent. He was funny, knowledgeable on Sonoma history, and a great guide. They have waters in the trolley so need to bring. Pack a light jacket as the ride can get a little breezy!

5.00We took the wine trolley in early March and it was outstanding. We had a small group and got to know each other quickly. We went to 4 different wineries for tastings, in addition to lunch at one. My only improvement to the experience would have been to have a bit more food available for lunch, especially because you were getting a lot of wine throughout the day. We loved seeing the country and hearing about the history. I also appreciated the promptness of the driving at each stop.

5.00One of the best days on this trolley trip. Our driver was great, helpful and friendly. The office staff was so nice to accommodate our very small group on a December day during the week. I and so grateful they provide the tour for us. Would highly recommend this trip.

The vineyards were all excellent, and we were so excited to try so many varieties. What a great way to not have to worry about scheduling tastings and researching places... all were excellent!
