What To Expect
Chisinau
Meet and greet in Chisinau. We will pick you up from your hotel and then we will drive 1 hour to the border with Transnistria. The only one thing which you should take with you is your passport for border control. They will not put any stamp, but they will give you a ticket with your dates
Tiraspol
We will drive to the capital of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic-Tiraspol. it is a city that has preserved the Soviet symbols of its past with the monuments of Lenin, the administrative buildings of Soviet architecture and with the tank in the city center. Here we will visit all MUST SEE places and after this visit you can say with confidence that you have been to the USSR!

5.00If you are hesitating to book a this tour, don’t! It was a rare opportunity and a unique insight into the local culture. Our guide, Natalia, was extremely knowledgable and very considered. She took great care to give us the best experience, taking into consideration our personal interests. Would absolutely recommend this tour woth Natalia as your guide, we had a lovely day!

5.00Travelers visiting Chisinau, Moldova must definitely take this day tour to Transnistria to have a different experience of the Soviet Era. My partner and I with another couple were very happy with our tour guide Natalia. She's very knowledgeable and knows a lot about the history of this part of the country. Weather wasn't cooperative but Natalia provided us with umbrellas and managed to take us to all the locations included in the itinerary for the day. Very polite and excellent driver. Highly recommended, you won't regret booking her for a day tour when in Chisinau.

5.00We had an amazing day with Natalya touring Bender and Tiraspol in Pridniestrovie/Transnistria. She picked us up personally, and she had amazing information about Moldovan, Soviet, and Transnistrian history. We toured everything we could, and she took us even to the central Tiraspol Green Market, where we tried local honey and brined pickles (amazing). Our lunch at the Back in the USSR restaurant was exceptional and worth every ruble. 100% recommend 🙂

5.00We had an amazing time exploring Transnistria with Natalia! From the moment we met, she was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to show us as much as possible. She took us to a local supermarket to see products from various countries and then to the local market, where we had the chance to try many different types of pickles—a great local experience! We also visited a Soviet-style restaurant which was very authentic. If you go, you must definitely try the dessert! Natalia is professional, helpful, and very passionate about her work. If you are visiting Moldova, I highly recommend booking a tour with her!"

5.00We had a great day visiting Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) with Natalia! If you do one tour from Chișinău, I definitely recommend making it this one. Natalia was an excellent guide - incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful guiding us through exchanging currency and recommending an excellent lunch (the borscht was delicious!). Learned a lot and came back with great recommendations for the rest of our time in Chișinău, too. Not often a “tour” type of person, but this seemed very worth it to make the most of the time and not miss anything. And of course, very safe. Don’t hesitate!

5.00A very interesting tour of a little known piece of Europe. Not everyone has heard of Transnistria and still less of Pridnestrovia. You can meet friendly people, get back home with some Soviet Union mementos, visit a medieval fortress and eat excellent borscht and pelmeni. A particular mention to our guide, Natalia, professional and informative.
